Kenilworth House William Gayheart Scam Rental New Orleans, Louisiana

Booked this house for Jazz Fest 2010. Gave credit card info for deposit and received confirmation via e-mail and phone that deposit secured reservation.

Could not reach owner for several days. Became worried and had a friend call listing. Owner told my friend that the house was still available. The rate had gone up, the minimum number of nights had gone up and he quoted full payment as being due immediatly.

Obviously this owner is very, very, very shady. Promising the house to all comers while trying to find highest and best bidder. Who knows when or if he would have called me back. Or if he plans on charging several people for the same dates. And then there probably would have been many bogus charges.

Run don't walk away
