La Rochele - La Rachelle Short term apartment renting Montreal Quebec

The managers promise you an apartment with park view and when you move in they give you something completely different, usually in the first 2 floors with no views of anything but the alley.

When I asked for the apartment with the view I was treated as if I was in the wrong; the kind of reaction from people who have committed an error, and acts as if you are the one who's in the wrong instead of playing fair and clean from the get go. Their correct response should've been "sorry we don't have anything with a view; but we have these apartments if you want." Which probably would not allow them to rent those bad apartments. The price for this rip off is $1200 Canadian dollars per month.

I tried to reason with these people telling them that it was not right to promise one thing and not deliver, that I felt ripped off because they acted in false pretense. But of course it was all verbal, so they can back down on whatever they said, when they make their false promises. They reacted in haste because they were in the wrong.

Another thing to watch out: they have cameras everywhere, and this morning when going down for a coffee, I met two police officers in the elevator. So, the place is not worth your troubles.

So, let the public be advised of this rip off location: do not stay at the Rochelle or Rachelle, located at 1565 Rue Rachel in Montreal. There are plenty of other places to stay that will not rip you off as this one.
