I went to check the mail today, and recieved a letter. Of course I was curious so I opened it. To my suprise a check fell out for $4,450.00. I was excited and called my husband.

After reading the letter I thought something was kind of fishy. So I jumped online to find out any information I could. I came to Ripoff report. There were many like this but I had a different address. So I took the next step. To the bank.

The lady at the bank thought something was different. Instead of cashing the check she took a copy to keep others from making a mistake. I sat in my car looking at the check. I had an idea. I went back home to look up the address of the check. It was to a rec center in New York.

I called that company and no one has ever called him about it. So I was letting him know that there address is being used on checks that are being mailed out.

I feel bad for those who get caught up into these things. I understand things are tough right now and everyone wishes they could come up with money like this. I have read alot of reports on here that the number you are call is fake. I called the number and got a live person. He said because my name wasn't on the check he can not tell me information. I told him they are fake and are a scam. He said call back when your husbands home. I said no thats ok im going to get the police involved. He said "OH S***, police" and hung up.
