I received an envelope with no return address, and a Canadian stamp. When I read the letter stating that the enclosed check for $3,175 was to cover "all clearance and administrative fees" for collecting a larger prize of $182,000, it was easy to assume it might be a scam. Who gives you extra money in addition to any prize money you may win?

No one!

When my wife looked up the companies online, she found the bank the check was written on to be real, Independence Community Bank, but when she read the reports at Ripoff Reports website, it made it official. It's a scam!

Note that the address is not in Windsor, Ontario. The Area code is not Windsor, Ontario and the postal code is really North Bay (which is 8 hours from Windsor, Ontario).
