California Custom Maid - Catherine Theives! Woodland Hills California

Well I hired this company in early Sept 2008 to clean my little apartment and while the cleaning was good the service wast. The two maids who came and cleaned that day remember picking up my camera with memory card inserted and moving it and they remember picking it up from the location which I left it. They even remember what it looks like.

Well after they cleaned I returned home only to find the camera gone. I called the office and they said they would ask the maids so I kindly waited for an answer and I got one several days later saying they didn't take it and they don't know where it is. So I requested that the maids come back out to my apartment to see if they could find the camera. They came back and said they dont' remember where they put it they just remember picking it up and moving it.

I called the office on the average of once a week every week since Sept to get an update and I would get the same answer. "We're trying to work something out" finally I was told AFTER THE FACT that the maids are contractors not direct employees of CA Custom Maid and that they're only a referral service. Which nobody informed me of ahead of time. They refuse to reimburse and take it up w/the maid they pretty much told me they couldn't help and they wouldn't reimburse and I personally have to take this up w/the maids.

I submitted the original receipt for the camera and memory card and they won't do anything. So don't use their service they don't follow up or call back when they say they will, they don't screen their contractors and they have poor customer service.
