I am the owner of Tailored Maid Services. Elizabeth Solo and Izabella (last name never disclosed) identified themselves as representatives from a company by a similar name (Tailor Maid) operating in the state of Florida. Their claim that we are using their name is unfounded. By trademark law, we do not meet the criteria of trademark infringement and they have no foundation for claims of damage.

We have been cleared by the state of Virginia and our local governments to operate under our name of Tailored Maid Services. We are incorporated, licensed, and can provide all such documents relating to the legal use of our name.

There is a business by the name of Tailor Maid Cleaning in Houston, TX. In addition, there is a business by the name of Tailor Maid Cleaning Services in Atlanta, GA. I find it odd that those businesses are matched by name more than we have been, yet are in full legal operation. This only solidifies our claim that we are not infringing on their name.

Instead, we are suffering damages due to their lack of professionalism. We have been tolerant but may need to pursue this legally to resolve this matter.

They have continued their campaign of slander by using unprofessional harassment and threats against our legally-operated business residing in the state of Virginia.

This harassment has been going on for months, and we are still waiting for court documents they claim have been filed. We have not infringed in any way to their business name, operations, and can dispute all false claims made by Elizabeth and Izabella.

These women have a documented history on Rip-Off Reports of harassing and threatening their own clients. This is very frightening to know that we are yet ANOTHER victim by their actions. Just do a search on Tailor Maid/Elizabeth Solo. You will find the proof on their history of harassment.

We do not operate in the state of Florida, nor have made such claims.

We (myself and our business attorney) have asked them to please forward their claims via the court system. Instead, they continue with harassment, slander and threats. Their documented unprofessional behavior only hurts their claim and assists us with our counter-claims of being repeatedly victimized by this company. They don't even know that the correct term is called "cease and desist" and call it "cease and dismiss". This is a true indicator they don't know what they are talking about. If they truly had counsel, he or she would have educated them on the correct terminology and the correct application to their claims. I don't believe they even have an attorney. I have yet to hear from anyone within the legal system, whether by counsel or by any jurisdiction of the courts.

We firmly believe we are able to prove our claims that they are causing damage to our company. Any comparison between the two services are clear: My company only brings them a better name. They are riding on our good reputation because they are unable to maintain their own.

They are welcome to forward their suit. We intend to counter sue for damages.

We also ask that further harassment stops IMMEDIATELY...not only for us but for their own clients. Harassment is not condoned by our company in any way. We are saddened that our industry has been marred by the actions of two women having a temper tantrum and illusions of power. We hope their actions will improve and the harassment stops. I am sure their clients will agree.

Here is an excerpt from one of her clients who canceled their service due to poor service:

After the first time experience with the 'no show', and after this fiasco, I didn't even know what to tell this woman (Elizabeth), since to me it was just unbelievable that something like this even happened.

She never bothered to follow up and ask me what I thought about it, instead she called me the next day and left me a message asking me to download a new contract online, and to sign it and fax it over.

For work reasons I was only able to contact her on 10/12/05 via e-mail. I told her our reasons, and asked her to cancel our contract.

Elizabeth decided to start an e-mail war by first demanding the $85 for the free cleaning, and then she started threatning me of taking me to court and ruining my credit, (everything is documented as I printed out her e-mails).

I kept replying to her not to be insulting and to keep it at a professional level, as I never threatened or insulted once.

She kept harassing, and stating that she has me by the neck since I signed a contract, and she wrote me that the BBB or the FTC can't help me since I signed a contract.

She wrote me a couple of e-mails insulting me, accusing me of ripping off honest people, telling me I will never have luck in life and stating she will ruin my credit. And also she stated that a judge wouldn't care at all about my evidence of her harassing nor the voice message she left about the free cleaning, and she also brags about knowing the law very well.

I discontinued replying to her, because I am tired of waisting my time with such crook and dishonest individual, however I am outraged, and I think someone needs to end her arrogant ways ASAP.

I don't think she really knows the law, I just think she tried to intimidate me into paying.

Just a quick note to say that nearly six months later, we never did hear from the attorney of Elizabeth Solo or of her company, Tailor Maid. She ceased further communication and I believe this issue is fully resolved just with her lack of following through on her threats. I wish them well in their business ventures.
