Consolidated Media Services tried to rip me off! Thank you Ripoff Report

I am glad to see I was not the only person who got caught up in this scam. I recieved a card in the mail that said, "We are going nuts trying to find you", please call us.

I Thought this was strange and so I called them and it was a magazine company. They also said that I would be intered in a drawing for $50,000 as well as recieving a watch and I would be in a drawing monthly. They sounded legit and offered what seemed to be a good deal.

I look into how much they were charging and found out that it was a rip off. I contacted them a couple days latter and they came down on the price, I told them I did not really want the subscription and they said they were going to charge me a cancelation fee of over $300.00. I told them I had not recieved the magazines yet and they got very rude with me. I hung up the phone and called my credit card company and disputed the charges. I also had to cancel that credit card and start a new account and have had to wait several weeks to get my credit card back and also had to do several reports to save my credit from this fraud.

I hope this letter will help anyone else who is going through the same thing I have been going through.
