Fingerhut Corporation ripoff swindlers St.Cloud Minnesota

Recently I've found that my credit reports from major national credit agencies contain a negative item "Fingerhut Corporation #80500... ($99.75 on a collection account!).

As a law-abiding person I immediately paid off that sum over a phone (800-444-8485) by credit card (I couldn't find corresponding statements from my home archive for year 2000).

Later I received copies of my payment statements (from Associates National Bank) that indicated that I had paid my balance ($72.77) in full on 09/20/00.

By my request the negative record was deleted with TransUnion as a result of investigation but still remains with Experian credit agency (it goes beyond my understanding why the activity of those respectable agencies is not in sync but the main story is not about them).

Fingerhut doesn't respond to all my claims that have been sent by mail in their address. Thus, I happened to be punished twice: firstly, I paid a hundred dollars for a mysterious merchandise or service (history along with Fingerhut keep silence about it) and secondly my credit history was spoiled for long 7 years (though I have not had even late payments on my credit cards and auto loan for the last 3 years).

The moral of my story is: if you want to punish your enemies (if any) or other bad guys advice them using Fingerhut services.
