A&E Appliance Repair A&E Is The Sorriest Company I've Ever Dealt With! Internet

When my refrigerator broke down 7 weeks
ago I called A&E to come and fix it. I took a day of vacation off
the day they were to show up. I was told they would be at my home
between 8am and 5pm. (That's a big window of time!) They finally showed
up and said they needed to order a part. The part showed up at my house
the following week and they called again and said they would be at my
house between 8am and 5pm. They showed up at 5:30 pm and said the tech
didn't order all the parts needed. So, I have to wait until the next
Thursday, (That's the only day of the week they claim that they service
my area) of course between 8am and 5pm, so I take my third vacation
day. Around 12:45, they call and say they'll be here in 45 minutes.
Guess what? They never showed up or even bothered calling to let me
know they weren't coming! I called customer service the next day and
they said that the technician got sick before he made it to my house. I
asked why wasn't I informed of this and they had no answer. So, the
following Thursday I had to take my fourth vacation day and they showed
up and decided that yet another part was needed. It was ordered and the
following Thursday was Christmas Eve and no call and no show. It's now
New Year's Eve and I had to take another vacation day for them to show
up and of course the called and said between 8am and 5pm. The service
tech shows up at 6:30pm!! He's still here at my home and it's after 8pm
and my wife and I had New Years Eve plans that got screwed up because
of A&E's INCOMPETENCE!! I wasted 4 or 5 10 HR. vacation days
waiting on them to fix my refrigerator that was broken for 7 weeks!
Here I am sitting at my computer on New Years Eve at 8pm waiting on a
service tech to finish repairing my refrigerator that should have been
repaired a month ago!! I will never ever deal with A&E again as
long as I live! They are the sorriest repair company ever! I understand
that Sears owns them, so I will never walk in a Sears store again and I
will let everyone I can know this, including the BBB! Happy New Year!!

Update-It's 9:35pm on New Years Eve and the
service tech just replaced the bottom coil on my refrigerator and found
out that that wasn't the problem anyways, but I have to pay the
575.00!! He says that I have a bad condensing coil that needs replacing
due to some kind of restrictions and that the parts he put on it didn't
need to be put on it, but I have to pay anyway! :( It's going to take
another coil and $500.00 extra and no telling how many more weeks of
vacation days and agravation!! Heck, the repairs cost more than I paid
for the refrigerator that just ran out of warranty! My wife is very
sore at me because we missed out on our plans this evening too! Thanks
A&E for NOTHING!! You and your parent company Sears Suck! What a
way to start a new year!! :(
