History Maker Homes DOES NOT KEEP PROMISES arlington, Texas

We were told that we had to do credit repair for us to qualify for their homes. We agreed to it. However the fee for the repair was $1,000.  Before we signed up for it, we repeatedly asked, if we don't get the  house for any reason, is that $1,000 refundable. They said yes.

About  two weeks later, the mortgage company that HMH chose said that we actually did not need the repair because he qualified to get the grant for the housing. When I told HMH to stop and that we didn't have to have it, we were told we did not have a choice and that since they had already started they couldn't stop. They hadn't already started because
they didn't have any of our information that they later asked for. So the credit repair was done. I continually asked are you sure it will be refunded if something happens and we don't get the house. The answer I was told was "per my manager, you would be refunded for the $1,000 for the credit repair, if you don't get the house". We didn't get the house.

 I called and inquired about trying to get our money back on top of the $1,100 earnest money that they have to give back. The manager sent a message through the sales rep that we were dealing with, saying that they would give it in credit if were to sign back up for HMH. That was not what she had originally said. My husband lost his job, therefore, we
technically could no longer qualify. We were not told that there were government programs that could help us repair our credit that were much less expensive. We have been made promise after promise and they have almost all been changed or broken. They built the house before we qualified, and they knew we did not have the financing through. I have
tried to contact the manager, and she has not responded in a timely manner.
