Working in an industry where you depend on financing has been difficult in the wake of the recent troubles in the banking sector. Given that, it has been especially hard for individuals seeking loans to obtain financing easily or quickly over the last year. Even the customer with top notch credit and generous down payment have had to wait longer than they typically did in the past for an approval and provide more documentation than ever. Although it is is slowly improving and we have seen more approvals and quicker turnaround time over the last several months, it will take time for the industry to recover as a whole. We now have access to an in-house financing program for individuals with less than stellar credit, with certain restrictions. We understand that Megan is upset she couldn't buy a home and understand because buying a home is an emotional experience and it is difficult to hear that you do not qualify for financing. However, we are not magicians and calling someone's office every hour on the hour the very first day you submit your application indicates that 1. you maybe do not have realistic expectations and 2. most likely would not be happy with any outcome . We certainly are sorry we could not help Megan, and do not hold her negative response against her. We wish her luck in the future and hope that when she is ready to purchase a home again, that she understand that the people she work with need to be given a few days to communicate with the bank, and that there are most likely other customers whose needs are also equally important.
