Royal Prestige, and it's Missouri distributor American Prestige-these companies are a scam. We attended a 2 hour presentation about their cookware with "no obligation to purchase" in exchange for a "free" vacation to the Bahamas.
The sales person pressured my fiance and I into purchasing a $2200 cookware set. He flat out lied to us when we asked about the return policy-saying that if we got the product and decided we wanted to return it, we would be able to do so. It wasn't until this weekend, as I was doing a Google search for the company, that I discovered the actual 3-day return policy. I will accept fault for not reading the contract more closely, but they still lied to me.
I called the customer service person and she told me that since all the "distributors" are separate entities, that I can not hold practices of the other distributors against them. She assured me that they are a member of the Better Business Bureau, and gave me the local Missouri number to verify. I filed a complaint with the BBB.
DO NOT purchase any products from this company or any of it's affiliates. If a company does not allow returns on it's products, it kind of tells me that the company itself thinks their product is crap-because they don't want it back.
If anyone that is reading this has been involved specifically with the American Prestige located out of St. Louis Missouri, I would definitly be interested in a class-action lawsuit if my matter is not resolved with the BBB. Other state courts have made these companies give full refunds to unsatisfied consumers.
