Run fast, run far from Skin Revolution Spa, especially therapist Mia Kytle!!! This was the worst massage I have ever received. It was completely unprofessional. Mia did not know what she was doing. I would have to guess that she is not even licensed, as bad as she is. I would be skeptical that anyone at this spa is licensed. Mia even privately offered "a little something extra" for a little more money. At this point, I ended the massage. Do NOT go to this place! It is a complete and total waste of your time and money. You get what you pay for!!!

AUTHOR: skin revolution spa - athens (United States of America)

First of all, Mia Kytle has been licensed in the state of Georgia since August 2011 (license #MT007748)However she was offering student massage, which was advertised as such for donation only at Village herb shop previous to working at my spa, skin revolution spa.  Since working at my spa she has shown nothing but professionalism and every single client is happy with their service. As for everyone else at the spa, that would be me, and yes I am and have been licensed in the state of Georgia as an esthetician since 2006 (license #ES002802)

As for the "little something extra" I am assuming this reviewer has more of a personal agenda to affect the reputation of my business than any beef with Mia. Like I said, she has shown nothing but professionalism while working here and has had nothing but rave reviews from clients. I would prefer this person contact me directly to discuss any such event instead of trying to publicly drag my reputation down. If the reviewer was so unhappy with their service the correct thing to do would be to contact me concerning a refund, however, they leave an anonymous review on the day of a special we are running to try and give a negative view of my business.

I take slander VERY seriously and will be more than happy to take legal action to protect my name and the people associated with my business. I would suggest this reviewer contact me as soon as possible to resolve this matter.

Slander

AUTHOR: MiaKyt - Colbert (United States of America)

I find it suspect that someone chose to go online and write a report of me the very day I have a deal running. This is absolutely a Lie.This is illegal and I will be taking the appropriate actions against this slanderer .It is sad that someone would do this possibly to try and benefit their own business as opposed to putting forth hard work and love .

update on the review written earlier today

AUTHOR: skin revolution spa - athens (United States of America)

Since we handle all our booking online, I went back and looked at all the clients Mia has had since she has been here Sept 2011, and the only clients we have who have gotten services are either

a)Mia' family members.
b)long standing clients of mine who would never stoop so low as to write such things.
c)my very close friends and family, again who would never write such things.

This confirms my suspicion that the reviewer is for some reason upset with my business and is trying to publicly make skin revolution spa look bad. I also received a very threatening email from a lady who claims to have found this "anonymous" review while looking into our services and that combined with this is confirmation of someone who has a personal beef with me.

I hope this person finds it in their heart to let go of any negative feelings towards me and understand they are not only affecting me directly but also affecting others, Mia is a happily married mother of 3 who takes so much pride in her profession, and actually speaks outright against therapists who use this profession to do unsavory things behind closed doors. speaking of closed doors, we don't have a door to the treatment room, only a curtain, which is regularly passed behind by me or another lady that works in our space as another business, if there were "extra" things happening, believe me, people would know.

This accusation is threatening her license and her livelihood, I am appalled that someone could be so selfish as to potentially ruin someones life in such a malicious way. Shame on you, whoever you are.

Fact Not Slander

AUTHOR: Anonymous - Athens (United States of America)

How can a fact be slander? All I can do is report what I personally experienced and report the truth. It is not illegal to file a complaint if it is true, and it is not slander if it is true. If it wasn't true, that would be a vicious and cruel thing for someone to say.

The fact that you all were so overly defensive and quick to threaten legal action, tells me, and everyone else, that you KNOW the truth and are trying to hide what has actually happened to clients at your "spa".

Resolution please, this is absurd.

AUTHOR: skin revolution spa - athens (United States of America)

Dear Athenschic?, was this or was this not the comment you also left on dexknows.com?
"I received a massage from Mia Kytle, and it
was the worst massage I have ever received! I wouldn't trust any of the other therapists here. I doubt most of them are even licensed, due to their unprofessionalism. Run fast from this therapist and this spa!?"
unless someones copied and pasted your comment, I assumed you were the same person so I replied with the same response. As for the "quick to respond" comments from me, I was advised by my lawyer to immediately write a rebuttal  to show that I was taking the appropriate steps to handle the situation. I am not here to battle with you, obviously you are very upset at my comments and it concerns me that you are throwing so much blame at me. I am only trying to resolve this misunderstanding and protect my reputation. If you can give me some idea of when you received this service I might be able to shine some light on all of this, as I have been able to do with another reviewer who was obviously mistaken. Please email me directly if you would like to hear the truth. feel free to use a fake name and email. Teresa Sullens skinrevolutionspa@gmail.com

Athenschic? Dexknows.com?

AUTHOR: Anonymous - Athens (United States of America)

Athenschic? I'm sorry, but you are mistaken. I do not go by that handle and I have never posted on dexknows.com. In fact, I don't think I've ever been to that website in my life. I did go there and look at the comment you were speaking of. I DID NOT write that. This is the only website I have ever even commented on. Plus, I'm assuming Athenschic is a female and I am NOT a female. I'm assuming that it is just coincidence that her comment was even vaguely similar to mine. I was offered "something extra" for a little more money, she obviously was not, at least that is what SHE stated.

I made no reference to your having been "quick to respond". I made a comment that you were OVERLY DEFENSIVE, which signals to me and the rest of the public that you have something you are attempting to cover up as to the happenings at your spa. I do not have anything to hide, that is why I am speaking the truth about what happened to me at your spa. If it had not happened, I would not say that it had. You and Mia Kytle need to take responsibility for the actions of what she did. You need to take responsibility because she works at your spa, and she needs to take responsibility for her own actions and just admit what really happened. I am not the one who did anything wrong. I just wrote of my experience on this website. You can try to cover up what has happened at your spa, and this does not sound like the only incident, but all I can do is speak the truth. Either accept the truth or not, that is your decision. Just be happy that I decided to keep what happened pretty quiet, and not report this incident to the police department.

Let's Shed Some Light...

AUTHOR: Ron Baker - (United States of America)

A review is a review, but on behalf of my child I've had quite enough of the slanderous, provably untrue nonsense being spread by persons (or, more likely, a person) with a grudge. Since I obviously can't directly affect the behavior of anonymous cowards on the internet, we'll see what some subpoenas can do. To that end:

And, yes, that's my real name. Sunlight is the best disinfectant.
