Nothing but problems with Cottman. I drive an older Nissan Pathfinder and the tranny went out. Called around for prices and settled on Cottman. They have different "levels" of quality so I went with the most expensive because I was promised by the manager that the tranny would "last longer than the car itself". The battery also came back to me dead. They had to jumpstart my car in the parking lot. Had 12 mo warranty and of course gave me trouble shortly after.

Different gears would still grind, would fall out of gear while driving. Called and they said they could look at it for a price. Finally took it in and they said that I need a new clutch and a whole new transmission again after only 14 months. The first tranny cost $2100.00 and the second time cost me $1700.00. Guess what. Now about 6 months later, the clutch went out.

These guys are just putting in old used parts from junkers and hope for the best. Their service stinks, but their products are the worst. Also they take forever. The first time took 1 1/2 weeks. The second took 2 1/2 weeks. It's a turn and burn shop. They work off of quantity with little value. Don't waste your money. I won't give these guys another penny for shotty service.

This complaint has no validity - this did not happen at our shop!

I don't know who this person is or where they were serviced, but it wasn't at the shop at 2630 S. Broadway. We have no record of this happening. I would encourage this person, as well as any customer of ours, to provide proof that we worked on that vehicle (like the original pink receipt we give to customers) and we would be more than happy to discuss any issues with the service. Even if this person just has a last name and time of service, we may be able to look him/her up.

Our Cottman location at 2630 S. Broadway has a great reputation in the community and we work very hard to keep it that way. Much of our business is referrals from previous customers and that is because we provide honest, straightforward, quality workmanship on every vehicle.

There were other locations in Denver that have either closed or changed names. It is possible this unhappy consumer is a customer of one of them, but it is not us. If this person could provide a name of the person he/she worked with, like the name of the manager mentioned in the report, that might help clear up where/if this event happened.
