Dan Fraley Replica Ferrari Scam! Peoria Arizona

This rebuttal is simple, this crack pot hasn't finished paying for the car. If and when he is ready to pay what it takes to finish it, he is welcome to come and get his car. I have always been very pleasant to him on the phone as I am to everyone that I talk to. I have offered to send it to him so he can finish it himself but instead he has decided to try to coerce me with this stupid "Rip Off Report". He has insinuated that he doesn't know where I'm at but thats a lie also. This guy is a nut ! Just ask the other guy he made a rediculous "Rip Off Report" about in Mesa, Arizona (C&C Choppers). Its guys like this that have made the internet a cesspool !!!

Back in 07' I orginally contacted Dan Fraley of Peoria AZ thru one of his advertisements on E-bay (item number: 140149941979 with the screen name Lynnexotics). This is the EXACT headline for the ad: "Hi Perf 350/400hp 5.7V8 with Custom Polished HP TPI". He stated in his add that he was selling a custom built 350 for the "buy it" now price of $3950 with all accessories included. Down in the description field he began to state that he also had a used one for a thousand dollars less with all the same accessories. This "Custom" motor was supposed to consist of the following: (directly taken from his E-bay Ad) "High Nickle Block, Steel Crank, Balanced, Forged Pistons and Rods, Extreme Energy TPI Cam, Ported Heads, Match Ported Intake, High Flow TB, Flow Matched Performance Injectors, High Flow Water Pump, Chrome Headers, Chrome Pulleys. Available with either chrome or polished alum valve covers. Includes wiring harness and computer with perfomance chip".

Being a budget concious consumer in this recession filled world I decided to purchase the used engine. He assured me that all these things also came with the used engine and gave me a long winded story on how he used to put these things in jaguar conversions. Another concern came up when he re-fused to except pay-pal which another long winded story came out of and once again he assured me that everything was going to be fine. Going against my own intuition, I ended up sending him a cashiers check from my bank for $3250; the extra money was so he didnt have to front the shipping charge that he said he was going to do over the phone. I became a little concerned when I received paper work from my bank stating the check was cashed in San Antonio TX. and Co-Signed by what he said was his wife named Kelly R Fraley. On further investigation Kelly R Fraley is actually a man working out of a Chevy Dealership in Peoria AZ. Ironically under a new screen name he is currently trying to sell a new camaro on e-bay.

After a couple months of excuses and phone calls (only picking up when I blocked my number) still no engine. We had many lengthy conversations on why the engine still wasn't here and so on. Two of my favorite excuses from him was how it took over 2 months just to find somthing to ship the engine in and also he said he had to send the TPI back out to get repolished because when he was crating it up he scratched it. When it got to the 3 month mark I was becoming irrate. A few weeks after a very heated conversation I finally received a shipping notification from the trucking company he said he was going thru. A little over a week later I recieved a call from my garage "Trappe Automotive" that the engine finally showed up and the delivery man was Demanding money for the shipping charges. I was at work when the call came in so I rushed out early to see what was going on. When I got there my garage fronted the shipping charges and the engine was removed from the truck. It was a stock block with metal shavings all over it, no accesories, no wiring harness and no computer. On further inspection and a complete tear down we found metal shavings in the block, stock internals, stock cam and fuel injectors from a 305. Needless to say many phone calls were made on this discovery with no response back.

What it comes down to is I regret trusting this easy speaking man and to find out he has a partner in crime made it even worse. They can try to defend them-selves all they want, but those who have dealt with them like myself know the TRUTH. These guys are snakes that need to be taken care of and punished by the full extent of the law. This bad deal has haunted me since then and its a shame to see these guys are still ripping people off. So CONSUMERS BEWARE!!! Watch out for Dan Fraley and Kelly R Fraley, these snakes are still lurking - searching for they're next victim.

Be Aware of this man!!!  We are not stupid people buying off the cuff either.   I cannot believe that he is able to keep doing these things and nothing every gets done.  I purchased a 1988 Jaguar from him back in 2006 that he was supposed to rebuild with a high performance 350 Chevy engine conversion.  It was originally listed on ebay, then pulled and after many conversations with him and confirming the work that was to be done by my personal mechanic and body tech, I dove in and went for it.  I had been wanting and looking for a Jaguar conversion for quite a while and here it was. 

Of course it was never delivered and he had excuse after excuse.  Medical issues, he moved, family issues etc.   I actually purchased the vehicle which he said was in his son's name of Shawn Patrick Fraley.   This is a entire family of crooks and con artists.  Well after many heated arguments with him and the typical "I will just deliver it as is and you can finish it yourself" threat, (which I took him up on and obviously he still never delivered), I began to research and dig in to his family.  

Shawn has been in and out of prision for criminal activites and his parole officer says the family is just like him.  They all cover for each other etc.   You can go to the Arizona court system on line and see his charges and record.    I even had a friend go to his house and look around to see if my car actually existed.    He had another Jaguar in his turn around drive way, a couple of Ferraris and other cars.   Not my car.

Long story short, he is very good at what he does.   Very good at the game of talking the sale, throwing excuses and purposefully not delivering.  He knows if stuff very well.  He is a scam artist, con man whatever you want to call him and he needs to be in jail.   His time will come!!! 

 

 

 

I have known the Fraley family for 30 years, and have personally witnessed the kind of performance engines and automobiles that they produce. Shawn Fraley has a mechanical gift for automotive engineering and they have decades of experience and knowledge in building top notch motors.

If you don't know how to do business (ie 1/2 down 1/2 at delivery etc) your going to have issues in all your business dealings. I would stop trying to get something for nothing and realize you have an opportunity to own somthing the Fraley family has built.  Consider this before you attempt to play victim.

To this gentleman , I also have been involved in this scam by Dan Fraley for much more money. What information that I am able to tell you after being at his house 3 times, his neighbor purchased the Ferrari replica that was unfinished that was in his driveway covered up. I don't know if it was yours or not. We should all get together and join up to fight this guy in court.
