Great American Reader LLC Direct Clearing House Magazine Subscription Scam Bloomington, Minnesota

My daughter, who is a grad student out of state fell prey to this scam.

Great American Readers telemarketing have been verbally abuse to me over the phone.

The problem with the magazine cancelling all the subscriptions (12 magazines were being sent to my home) is that they are powerless.

Great American Readers told me I was powerless, and needed a lawyer in order to cancel.  My post office official told me to mark all magazines "refused" "return to sender" - a task which I gladly accomplished.

I then proceeded to contact all the magazines directly, their subscription dept, and even the top brass of all the magazines. 

Great American Reader told me I was unable to cancel any magazine subscriptions:  imagine the consumer being powerless.  I think not!

Great American Reader sends this phony looking invoice on a blank piece of white paper, no logo, nada, guess they can't be caught by the post office this way. Invoice was for $1,000.00 for magazines they say I cannot cancel.

I have contacted the attorney generals office in both my home state and in MN. I am not a powerless consumer!

Great American Readers LLC in Bloomington MN should be shut down, and shut down soon.  The magazine publishers need to get behind shutting them down too.
Its a waste of natural resources, and a waste of the post office's time and money.
