About 15 years ago I tried to get help for depression from what is now called familynet of Catawaba county NC. I was repeatedly lied to about when i was going to receive treatment: when I made a complaint about the lies; familynet told me they had no intentions of treating my depression: They were withholding treatment until I stopped drinking beer. It was my understanding that I was there for treatment of depression; not a drinking problem.
I feel familynet showed a callous disregard for my life; and that I was used for my insurance policy. It took 5 so called therapy sessions for me to find out that they would not help me; at $75. each I feel that was $375. worth of insurance fraud.
To make matters worse, I was recently required to sign a release form; familynet is using my private information against me! But, if I were to purchase services from them or one of their associates; this problem can go away; and it only cost $118.
 I have tried to reason with them, but they do not seem to care how I was treated and they will not discuss the matter with me. I feel familynet, betrayed my trust, endangered my life, and stigmatized me for life with a derogatory label.
 I would urge anyone thinking of seeing a psychiatrist to get on the internet and look up: Psychiatric Crimes and Psychiatric Fraud.
