November 2007 my chair was delivered. When we went to use it, the intensity was so hard on the body. I went back to the store here in Tucson ,Arizona to try the chair they have on display and had another demostration and the chair was completely comfortable. So I called again to the company to complain and was asked about a cushion that was suppose be on the chair. I told the lady it was not there, so she sent a cushion that was suppose to be there in the first place, I received the cushion and installed it where it should have been in the first place. It did help a great deal but still not like the one they have as a demostrator. Yes I have been fighting this for 7 months. First when delivered the footrest would not come up so repair work had to be done, that took a month. Then the cushion part had to be taken care of, another month or two. In the instruction book that comes with the chair it states if you have any of the following medical condition you can not use the chair. On the list was osteoporosis which my husband has. The salesperson did not ask about medical conditions which my husband might have. I was purchasing the chair for him. He is in his 80's and I should never been allowed to buy the chair. You pay $2000.00 for a massage chair and you should be comfortable using it. I wrote to brookstone and they said we had the chair to long for them to pick it up and refund my money. If this happen to me I'm sure other people has been taken also. My husband sits in the chair but can not use the massage part due to his medical condition. However I have made several trips to the store here and kept trying out the demostration chair and it is not the same that was sent to me.

I don't mean to be callous but frankly you deserve what you got. Brookstone's massage chairs are TRASH. They sell low budget Chinese junk that people fall for when they walk through the mall. If you took your time and did your research you would have found that you could have purchased a Panasonic for less than the trash Brookstone sells on Ebay.
  There are only two QUALITY chairs on the market today and they are INAMI AND PANASONIC. INAMI is the undisputed leader but PANASONIC is a top quality chair. Both of these chairs not only will last 10-15 years or more but more importantly provide a REAL MASSAGE. U nfortunately the low bdget chairs do nothing but jam some hard roller up against you as opposed to properly massaging your body. 
 Sell that piece of junk and go buy a good chair. You will never regret it.
