I had AIG auto insurance for about 4 years, I had 4 people with 4 vehicles on my policy. Our son lost his driving privileges due to a very stupid incident, from the state. He subsequently sold his car, and I contacted AIG to remove him and his car from my policy. They informed me that they could remove the vehicle, but not him from my policy. As he lost his license for the next 6 months, I was perplexed as to their stand on this. No license, no car, no driving, should not be a problem. They informed me that as long as he continued to live in my home, he Must remain on the policy. After 5 phone calls, without any resolve I told AIG, "YOUR FIRED!"
Went to esurance and got apples to apples match on policy, and save almost 45% on my insurance.

Did you tell E-surance that your son lives with you? If not this is called "Material Misrepresentation" and can be considered Fraud...if they find out they could, cancel your policy, not cover your loss especially if he is involved in an incident where he was driving your vehicle, or they could back charge you premiums from the inception date of the policy.

I know...no DL...no car...no driving...but we all know that it doesn't always work out that way. I have seen it many of times where someone has not either listed everyone in the household over 13 yrs old on the policy...DL or not...and they get involved in an accident and there is no coverage for your vehicle. And we get all upset and it's the big bad insurance companies fault! Wrong!
