American Leisure - Easy Saver Unauthorized charges to Bank account Nationwide Nationwide

This all started when I placed an order for a product on the tv by calling an 800 number for a "FREE" (UH HUH) trial. Bad move and that won't happen again ever.

During the phone call the person on the other end said that they would also send information on a couple other services and a couple free $25 gift cards for trying their product. She did mention that if I didn't call and cancel after 14 days within receipt of the trial product that it would renew every month for full price, which she never mentioned what full price was.

When I received the product, there was nothing else in the package. I never received gift cards or info on other service. I did get the price for monthly renewal at that time and it was outrageous. $85 a month. I called immediately and cancelled which took some argueing with the person on the other end who kept trying to sell me more stuff and throw in this and that. I had totally forgotten about the other stuff until the charges to my bank account. The charges were only $1 to American Leisure and $1 to Easy Saver but I figured it was just a trial run and the next charges would be much higher.

I called immediately the 800 number listed on my bank account for the charging company Easy Saver and got recording after recording that all agents were busy and eventually it dropped the call and hung up.

I called right back and got a different recording for American Leisure and immediately got to speak to someone. The person that answered acted like she'd been through this a million times, very calm and just mildly resistive to cancelling the account and refunding the charges. (We'll See, she said no later than 10 days).

The number I called was 800-262-6199. Hope this helps someone else out there get their money back too and stop future charges. I made sure that I got a confirmation number for the cancellation also.

What really bothers me is that I almost overlooked the charges since they were only for $1 each. I wonder how many people miss these charges and let this go on for years. Imagine 2 bucks every month from say 200,000 people for providing absolutely nothing, no service no goods. That's 4.8 million dollars a year!
