Bellwood Financial Group, Peter Marshall Scammed me out of $910.00 for a Personal Loan Fort Lauderdale Florida

My name is Justin. I am a college student in Atlanta Georgia. On October 4th I had applied online for a Personal loan to help with financial situations. On October 8th 2008 a guy by the name of Peter Marshall called me from Bellwood Financial Group and said that I was approved for a $5,000 Personal Loan. He stated that because of the economy situations and that my credit wasn't really good that I would need to pay the first 6 months in advance to secure the loan.

On October 8th I sent $910.00 through MoneyGram to an Account Executive in Grand Falls Canada and that I would get the loan by 5 p.m. on October 9th. I recieved a phone call from Peter Marshall at 1:00 pm on the 9th to tell that there was a problem securing the loan and that additional money was needed to secure the loan.

I immediately knew this was officially a scam and hung up the phone. Hopefully something good will come out of this and I can recover the money I wasted on something that was obviously too good to be true. With all of the problems already going on it just figures that people would prey on people who actually need help and don't need to be used by people who care for no one.
