Over the weekend I checked my checking account online to find I had a charge from Cheapestthemes.com for 6.81. It had a number listed beside it 904-352-1238. My first thought was well it must be legit they listed a number and all but I could not remember purchasing anything online. So I tried calling the number only to get a prerecorded message. So I began to do research online to find this is a credit card scam at it's best. I am sure you may think 6.81 is a small amount but they will come back and hit you later for more and it they hit 10,000 folks at 6.81 each how much are they making off of us for nothing.
Plus most folks think of the amount and don't bother disputing it or when you get to the bank they want to give you a hassle about it and talk you out of disputing it. Well, please dispute and don't let the bank talk you out of it. Remind them of Federal Regulation E. Cancel your debit card, file a report with your local police depart, the FTC, and FBI Internet crimes and even call your local media and CNN. You can google this and read pages and pages of where these folks are doing this to millions. It seems no one can stop them. They have been around for over a year now and no one has shut them down yet. I found mine on Sunday I listed the information on my facebook page and in less than 24 hours I have had two friends found it on their accounts.
They hope you don't find if you find it until you get your statements or later then you go to your bank and they will say oh it's too late. Or they have already hit you twice. Doesn't matter what bank you use - they hit them all.If you try contacting them at their webpage, I tried emailing - they want more yeah more personal information from you - they send you a general email out asking for more information - your name, address, phone number, ssn and your debit card - excuse me - you mut have that if you have already hit my account. Give them nothing!
They are also hitting credit card companies which is a little easier to dispute. Just call the company and ask for a dispute claim form. You can also contact your State's Attorney General's office and file a complaint there. Make noise and let them know what these folks are doing. It is not right and the more noise we make we can stop these folks from stealing money that is not theirs. This is a just a way to filter and steal your money. I hope this information helps someone else. I am doing my part - will you?
