Well if I beleived that Direct TV (DTV) would actually read this I would feel alot better saying that they are lying,stealing,crooks. I also know for a fact that the BS comes from the top of the ladder, I have spoke previously to staff in the "Office of the president" for DTV. Yeah they are pretty much talking out of their behinds too. At any rate, to make a long story short somewhere along the line in the last two weeks of dealing with these customer services robots they determined that I canceled my service, after 7 years and in the middle of fooball season, are you kidding me? Well like clockwork my empty postage paid boxes arrived so that I may send back my receivers. follwed by the $1100 debit to my debit master card, YES $1100!! Of course I called to no avail. I was fed the line of "it is our policy that when an account is canceled we can charge the current credit card on file with no prior authorization".....blah,blah, blah. I NEVER canceled my service,and I sure as heck NEVER authorized an $1100 charge. By the way the CS agent proceeded to yell at me when I asked for a supervisor,because the CS agent was just to dumb to understand what I was saying and told me I was not getting my money to basically deal with it. After explaining to them that not only did they take every last dime from my account but it was illegal to take money from someones bank without authorization. i have filled a complaint with the BBB and californias attorney general's office. Next step is civial lawsuit. These people are no different than banks. Creeps! Direct Tv says that the policy of charging fees etc.. to the credit card on file has been in effect since 2007. I have never seen it and sure as heck never signed it. But if they want to state this is their policy I think someone should let the media and consumers know That their policy gives the the right to charge credit cards for all of their outrageous fees at any time they feel the need.I do not like the idea of them having access to my account like that,and I do not think the public would like them having that option either, make it public. This BS needs to stop.
