My child's father wanted to test for paternity before our baby was born without using the invasive test. I found out about the non-invasive procedure and informed him of it. I knew the test was too good to be true and after very little research I found many claims stating that the test gave false results, however at this point it was too late because my childs father had already purchased the non-refundable test.
I asked my doctor her opinion on the test and she stated that there's only a 70 percent chance that my blood would contain my babies DNA. With that being said I didn't want to take the risk because I knew that my childs father was the only possibility and I didn't want to run that risk. My child's father had already proven to be a deadbeat father and I knew false results wouldn't make much of a difference in his parenting style.
The results came back stating that my childs father matched 8 out of 10 of the areas tested. According to Basir at Genetest Labs, 1 exclusion means the father isn't the father. The results were wrong just as others reported. My childs father and I also experienced some of the same experiences that others complained about such as Basir being the only person who answered the phone and Basir telling us not to tell certain labs why we needed to have blood drawn. My childs father even went to one lab that Basir said he highly recommended because he's done work with them before in the past and after he dropped off the kit for me to take the test, Basir called and said the lab refused to do the test.
To make the long story short, I wouldn't advise taking this test because it gives false results. If you do research, you will find that the test is not court admissable and it's not accredited by the AABB like other invasive DNA test. I did question Basir on others discrediting the test and he stated that a few years ago the test wasn't accurate but now they use free floating DNA and the test are more accurate. Just beware, because this test is false.
