Wellington Companies LLC, Goldpaq.com , Wellington Goldpaq.com took a $290 item I sent and paid $37.08 for it. Will not return or follow thier guarantee. Southampton Pennsylvania

I sent a Liberian Gold coin valued at $290 by gold value alone to Goldpaq. I trusted their 110% guarantee. When I received payment, I found they had "appraised" my item and paid me $37.08. I contacted them to inform them that this was unacceptable, as I had already received an offer for $235 from www.ezsellgold.com. I offered to send this documentation to them, or to send them a cashiers check for the amount they paid plus return shipping.

After 2 phone calls and 2 emails, I received a response from their customer service manager. He said that they would not pay the 110% because I had elected for electronic payment of funds, and that my item had already been sent to the refinery. This is highly unlikely.

He offered an additional $25, which I refused, because the initial "appraisal" and payment was for 12% of the actual value of the 22K gold coin according to the daily gold spot. This additional money would make their total payment equal to 21% of the value.

I trusted this company to fairly value this item, and pay me accordingly. When this did not happen, and they broke their guarantee, it is far more worthwhile for me to spread this information about them than to take the paltry amount they offered for a valuable item.

Do not use goldpaq.com for anything. They will essentially steal your precious metal and leave you feeling cheated and with no way of obtaining payment or your items back.
