Just after xmas 08 my friend bought a "mountain bike" from halfords , by the end of jan09 it was unridable . IN the uk products by law have to have a 12 month gaurentee . My friend uses his bike to go to work , about a mile each way, so in less than 60 miles and less than 2 months his bike is worthless . He went back to them and asked for a refund, he was told he shouldn't have ridden it off road! $*^^%££ ridiculous! So he now has to walk to work , and has had his hobby taken away !
