Holiday Systems International (HSI) is a discount travel company that doesn't offer much in the way of discounts. There is an upfront charge to become a member, $1800 in my case, and an additional $100/year annual renewal fee. Most vacation packages they offer are offered cheaper from the hotels and cruise lines themselves, and is only occassionally $100 less than booking on Orbitz directly. Also, many of the discounts are for second and third rate hotels so the membership actually forces their members to stay in less than the best accomodations. The process of booking with HSI is difficult and takes several days for confirmation. This is a travel agency scam.
