Mega Health Insurance your refund check was mailed but where is it??? North Richland Hills Texas

Now, I have decided not to use Mega after I searched for complaints!
I should have done this before I let a salesman come to my house and
tell me I had to write 2 checks in order to get Mega Insurance.
One check was to be made out to Alliance for the membership that was
required to get Mega health insurance. I wrote the Mega insurance check
for $434.16 and the membership check for $100. I was able to put a stop
payment on the membership check since the Alliance for Affordable Services
group was not very nice to me about a refund. They first agreed to a refund.
Then I called back to see how the refund was going and they said I could not
get a refund immediately. They would have to rehear my comments on my
taped conversations to see if I lied about whether I still had my health insurance the first time I called them. So that caused me to out think them and put a stop payment on the check they thought they had in their hands.
No problem for me there. Then I receive $125.16 from Mega and wonder where
the other $309. is. Why did they have to mail out 2 checks instead of one?
I find out today I had overpaid when the salesman told me exactly how much
to pay! He was the expert and he told me wrong! The 125.16 was for the
overpayment and now I am still waiting for the actual premium refund check
which was mailed on the 10th of this month. I should have gotten it 3 days
later from Texas. Now, I have to wait 10 days from the mailed date in order
for the company to reissue another check. Of course, they won't mail the
second check by priority or fed ex it. I asked them today. They also claim
I am a rare case of a check getting lost in the mail. They will not let you
speak with anyone in billling. You have to speak with the customer care dept.
Funny, how the original 434.16 went out of my bank account within 2-3
days and you can't get a refund quickly.
Can someone relate to this story with something positive. If they actually
received a refund check when they had lost hope?
