We engage NWE (Mark Fradkin) in May 2007 to move our goods to Santa Barbara, but to first put in storage for 6 weeks until we closed on our new home purchase. DON'T EVER DEAL WITH MARK OR HIS COMPANY...THEY ARE AS FRAUDULENT AS ONE CAN GET. My experience seems typical with others that have used their services (a term I would use lightly).

Constant calls to Mark and staff were met with lies, abuse as well as hang-ups. I was concerned, so I requested to visit warehouse where goods were stored (Ventura Canyon Blvd in Van Nuys). I could not find warehouse at first, but was finally directed there by "receptionist". It was located on a small off street (kind of like a back alley) and with no visable signs and even an address number. Anyway, when I went in to see our "vault" it was appalling....a) no one worked there except the receptionist, b) was a total fire trap, messy and all furniture and fixtures decrepit, c) our "vault" was nothing more than a walled off wooden section (never did see our goods under lock and key).

I left very shaken and concerned (wouldn't even tell my wife what I saw)...Anyway, after continued abuse from everyone, they finally delivered our goods over 4 days (!), tried to hold our goods hostage by not unloading until we paid, but items were missing, so I refused. Then I blocked their trucks with my car and the situation became hostile...I had to call police to defray the tension.

Upon delivery, many items broken, some repaired at a cost of nearly a $1,000, other items worthless, and many items missing. Threatened calling District Attorney to file a criminal complaint, then they "found" another vault of our goods, but after that delivery, we still were missing a number of items. They even double charged my credit card on a portion of the move. It took 2 months for them to reverse it on my card.

Bottom line...they are a massive FRAUD and they never responded to our claim for damages. We sued them and the Sheriff's office that was serving them told us to do so quickly because they've had many complaints and may not be in business very long... that's when they moved from Ventura Canyon Blvd. to Reseda Blvd. We won our case in
court (he showed up and blamed us for everything (yeah, right), but they appealed. Then, but about 60 days later never showed up in court for the appeal and we were awarded a default judgment.

If anybody has a recent cancelled check to them and knows what bank account they use, we should be able to put a lien on it with our court judgment.
