My story is practically the same verbatim as the testimonies below on this page. I saw a sign on the side of the road listed as ShavanoParkSingle.com and was lured in. I was met by a woman who looked like someone I would hang out with, related to me like a girlfriend, and completely seemed to "understand" who I am and what I am looking for. She proceded the sales pitch by promising that there are thousands of busy professionals, just like myself, as clients. After a two hour interview, I was confident and excited about the prospect of what was to come.

Sadly, and much to my surprise, I was delivered with "matches" that couldn't be less appropriate for me. After the third, I quickly realized that the "matchmaking" wasn't being conducted the way I was promised (and sold).

As fate would have it, I serendipitously ran into the sales woman who sold me the package in my hometown 300 miles away during the Christmas holidays. After I approached her, she offered to help me get my money back since I hadn't physically met anyone. When I called her after I was back in San Antonio, she gave me the run around. I attempted to speak to management, but I was rebuffed. When speaking with an account rep, I relayed my concerns and disappointment in the service. Because I signed this airtight agreement, I will be charged for the duration of my "contract".

I simply don't think that I should have to "eat" these large monthly transactions because I "fell for" the sales pitch. Together must take responsibility for their actions and not delivering what was promised.

I am willing to take this as far as I need to. Can someone please help?

**2/17/09**TOGETHER DATING/SAN ANTONIO ISSUES RESOLVED; CUSTOMER SERVICE EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS

AUTHOR: Jessica v. - San Antonio (U.S.A.)

I do feel it right to mention that Together didn't really lure me in; because I was single, I saw a sign on the side of the road that peaked my curiosity. I went to their website and it appeared to be a possible solution to my dating needs. After a conversation with them on the phone, I decided to go to their office and check out their program. I did join without being pressured or coerced in the hopes that I would meet someone special. They provided me with three referrals, and I approved all three when they called me for my approval, however, I did not feel any chemistry with them during our phone calls and I got discouraged. While I chose not to meet any of the men, the Together staff did contact me on many occasions and encouraged me to get out and meet these gives and give their program a chance. The staff requested that I come in to their office and revise my profile, and I made three appointments to do so, but I couldn't make any of the appointments. I just didn't feel this was a good fit for me, but it really wasn't Together's fault. They sought me out and graciously extended solutions that were fair and agreeable. Together did what a good company should do in a situation like this.

QUESTION YOU MUST ASK – WAS THIS REALLY RESOLVED OR WAS THIS POSTED IN ORDER TO RECOVER A PORTION OF THE MONEY LOST?

AUTHOR: Jenny - Bastrop (U.S.A.)

As a condition of “resolving” a complaint, you must agree to retract all complaints and agree not to voice another complaint through any type of media….in return Together Dating Service, Right One or whatever name they are currently using (depending on the type of complaint) will: (1) refund a token amount of your original fee; (2) reduce your outstanding balance (3) continue to “service” your account; (4) or will offer you a combination. It is my experience, the offer to resolve a complaint is made after a consumer has filed or posted a complaint and by this time, most people if not all, agree to the offer because: (1) they are at the point of giving up: (2) getting a token refund is better than losing everything they paid; (3) they either don't have the resources or time to continue fighting the battle; or (4) a combination of everything.

So, the question you must ask yourself is was this complaint really resolved OR did the consumer agree to say it was resolved to their satisfaction in order to recover a portion of the money they lost?
