A couple of years ago I decided to get into nitro. I bought a traxxas tmaxx for £350 . It ran very hot , I tried new carbs (x4 they fall apart if you fiddle with them) 2xstarter motors and 2x ez starts . I used spray grease on the ez start gearbox ,it expanded the plastic and locked the gearbox , hence the 2 new ez starts and starter motors, anyway I pressure tested the engine with butane and found 2 hair line cracks under the engine mounting bit, I've contacted traxxas and the shop I bought it from , with no joy . I'm yet another victim of the corporate company!
