I received a phone call this morning indicating that this person was the legal attorney for the legal investigation bureau and they just received across there a desk a case to file against me within the next hour with the state attorneys office. If i did not listen completely they will download the file to the state attorneys office and my social security number would be blocked from all activity and i would be arrested and put in jail for 6 months.
They had the state attorney waiting for my response if i wanted them to try to help me and stop my file from being downloaded. They indicated they had my address and social number which was accurate and I had until 2pm to provide them with a debit card and issue them $810.00 so no legal action would proceed. They indicated that i would be prosecuted and they would call all my employers and i would no longer to work and i would have a criminal record if I did not act now. The person on the phone indicated his name was wil buxton, he had a heavy acient and would not let me ask any questions.
At first i was very alarmed but when i tried to ask questions they just indicated that i guess i did not want help and they would proceed with legal action and i would be prosecuted and go to jail and they would have 25 legal attorneys to represent them and i would never be able to work again.

When they immediately start out with threats of arrest etc - they are just trying to scare you into giving them money that you probably do not owe anyway
Its illegal to threaten you in any way when collecting a debt of any kind
Go to www.ftc. gov and learn your rights and how to fight them
Not sure where they got your personal information, so contact all 3 credit bureaus and place fraud alerts so they cannot open accounts in your name

They are just a bunch of goons trying to get you to pay them money for no reason
DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE!! Make a list of all the times they call you - check with you state to see if you can record these calls - and do not send them a dime!!!
You cannot be arrested for a debt - It would be different if you wrote a bad check but most states have statutes of limitations on such matters
Report them to your attorney general
