We had a truck that was parked in an abandoned gas station parking lot on A1A in daytona Beach it was there all day Sat and Sunday the driver decided to go to the beach , when he returned the truck was gone and there was a brand new sign stuck in the ground that said no tresspassing you will be towed my driver said there had been no sign there previous to this and said the local police had sat along side him the night before and never mentioned anything about it either , so we call Universal towing where they wanted $1,080.00 to release truck and trailer ,and do not accept credit cards because if someone disputes it (like maybe they do this alot) they don,t get paid , the attendant at that time seemed pretty nice but eventually said he needs the job and couldn't say any more ,I was given the run around and told to talk to Bruce which I have since learned has had this problem before and is not professional at all he told me we could get a copy of a document that would prove the sign was there all along but never tried to help or send to me , then he told me see you in court and said not to call back or he would take me to court, I called the local police to have a report filed and looked on RIP OFF and sure enough there they were , we are still not letting this go but have to go through proper channels to get resolved , I've contacted the Florida Towing Association , and anyone else I know in the area as we do alot of business there as we are professional yacht haulers ,to hopefully prevent this dirtbag from continuing to rip off the working professional public I.m sure he will not be at it successfully long , I'm planning a little visit to Bruce next year when we get to bike week , can't wait to meet him ,I hope he likes me, there company is on different reports and misc places on the internet for this same type of practice

Your report makes it sound like you have a trucking company and this happened to one of your drivers. I have to ask, are your drivers in the habit of leaving their trucks parked on private property for days at at time? They should know that abandoned gas station does not equal free parking. What professional driver doesn't know this?
