Wells Fargo started forcing flood insurance several years ago after sending letters stating"Due to recent changes in flood maps My house is now in a flood zone"
I went to the courthouse and was informed that there was no changes in flood maps since around 1972, after Agnes. I went to see the lady that does flood determinations the our area, she filled out a FEMA Form verifying my house as not being in a flood zone. Wells Fargo refused it and put Flood Insurance on my house at a cost of around $1300. I got my own insurance at about $400.00 Thur Mill ville Flood insurance who questioned why I was getting Insurance on property not in a flood zone?
My township supervisors stated my home was not in a flood zone and Hawk Engineering also determined that my home is not in a flood zone, yet Wells Fargo will not accept anything less than a letter of map amendment, stating my house is no longer in a flood zone. I don't need a LOMA because everyone but Wells Fargo knows my house is NOT in a Flood Zone!!
A LOMA would require an engineer to survey from the nearest certified point, which is eighteen miles from my house. Not financially feasible.
Now, Yesterday I received a letter from Wells Fargo stating that my home is now in another higher risk Flood Zone and I need to get yet more expensive Flood Insurance!
Even the Pennsylvania Attorney Generals office says I should SUE them, but I am not sure how and can't find an attorney that does?
I have severa pictures I can send however google earth shows everything,
