mitsubishi electric HVAC design flaw- would not pay for electric control board $370.00 Suwanee, Georgia

Mitsubishi Electric HVAC Mr.Slim 24000 BTU outside air conditioner unite which a snake enter the electronics compartment and shorted out the control board at a cost of $570.00.Mitsubishi refuse to pay for anything and said that my warranty was for one year which is true.I bought three unites 2 -9000 BTU and 1- 24000 BTU ON 10/11/07but did not use them until 7/08. Looking inside 24000 BTU unite when the repair man came to fix it you can see how easy small creatures can enter.No where in the manual states [beware of small creatures can enter your unite] which I would never have bought it.My complaint to the company that this was a poor design in my opinion and that they should at least paid for the control board at a cost of $370.00 I got a no for an answer.My two 9000 BTU unites when you take off the cover has much more protection from from creatures. I talk with my service department and they told me they have change the design on the 24000BTU unites which I believe for  more protection. Since 7/1/11 I have bought Tom cat glue traps to put under the unites and have caught three more snakes under the 24000 unite.So far I have spent $50.00 on these traps once they become wet they will not work. As a 75 yr  old man with disability, and a wife with health problems and needs to have dependable air condtioner I MUST  go out side EVERY DAY since 7/1/11 shut off the electric to the 24000BTU unite wait 15min. take off the top cover and hope no creatrues our inside and hope for the best and this is not the answer to the problem because at ANYTIME some small creature can get into this unite and destroy the electronic board while it is runnig.I believe the statements in this letter is the truth and I have PICTURES of the three snakes I caught by my unite and the pictures of the open tops on all  three unites. l say think twice before you buy MITSUBISHI THEY WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THERE PR0DUCT with problems like mine.
