Tower Hobbies Overcharging on small items by 20% and more. Internet

I have noticed that many items they sell are overpriced in comparison with other online hobby retailers. Spare parts, tools that cost a single digit are overpriced by $1 or more. In many cases that is a 20% price increase. A $3 screwdriver they sell for $4.50 for example.

Interestingly their Tower Hobbies Super Saver Club, that is a paid subscription, gives you 20% off (but it must be a large order).

That is quite an interesting business model. You pay them to get competitive prices.

I have been their customer for a long time and thought their replacement parts and other items are reasonable priced or prices are set by the manufacturers. I was wrong all this time.

To be frank, other than that I never had any issues with them.
