U.S. Epson, Inc. Ink scam! Why can't I print black and white when I'm out of yellow ink? Long Beach California

Our epson product is somehow losing color ink without printing hardly anything in color. Also now that the yellow ink is declared low I cannot print in black and white. I have an emergency black and white documet to print and the printer refused to even try although the black ink is full. Instead a window pops up directing me to some website to buy more yellow ink. I will never buy yellow ink for this printer as there is yellow ink in the cartridge, who knows when this defective printer will declare that I need to buy more color ink to print my black and white documents. I'm so disgusted by this product, that I will never ever buy an epson product again (not even a yellow ink cartridge)!!! I should not need to buy more yellow ink to print a document in black and white!!!! I guess there was some class action lawsuit regarding this issue, but all the litigants received was vouchers for more ink!!!!
