I went there to buy a game for a gift and some headphones.  The woman that took me to the headphones tried to sell me a $50 pair, and I said no, I will only pay $13-18.  She took me around the corner and said, "here, these are $17.88."  I said I would take them.  She took them to the register and rang every thing up and it sounded high to me.  I looked at the receipt after I paid and I was right!  I told her I was charged $35.88 for the headphones!  Some other guy showed up and went to the headphones.  He said they 'were in the wrong spot.'  There were six of the same stocked in the $17.88 spot on the top shelf and one more in a $17.88 spot under it, where she picked my set up from.  There wasn't even a $35.88 spot.  He quickly started moving all the headphones out and had to just stick them in different places on the shelves.  He started stuttering, telling me I could buy a cheap pair or pay the $35.88, trying to draw it out and kill time.  I nipped him real quick and told him to get a manager.  He acted mad.

The manager came, he snuck off to the shelf with her and tried to not let me see them.  But I did and I followed.  He was trying to lie and tell her nothing was going on, they were never in those spots and had no idea why I thought they were $17.88.  I cut him off again and told the manager her female employee brought me to them, told me they were $17.88, and then that guy jumped in, tried to not let me have them and then moved all the merchandise so the manager couldn't see how it really was.  The manager said I could have them for $17.88 and the guy got mad and stomped off.

Let me tell you, I know what that man was doing, trying to treat customers like crap and call them liars because he's thinking of his yearly bonus.  It was too late for that.  The stocker already blew the bonus and you lost.  If you wanted to prevent the loss, you shouldn't have been so lazy.  You should've been patrolling the aisles, examining the merchandise placement and realized that the headphones were labelled at half their worth.  Your bonus depended upon your actions before the mistakes reached the customers.  After I walk in the door and catch you, it is too late.  I should not be subjected to people like this trying to wrench merchandise from my hands and calling me a liar!  I will be looking for this from now on and will be watching and will not let you rip me off.

Wal-Mart strives to address all price mismatch issues with consumers and when possible seek a resolution in favor of the consumer.

Since you are freely dispensing advice to others with whom you obviously feel a greater stature, perhaps you should take an hourly position with Wal-Mart... When you have finished boiling, writing a post threatening to notify the corporate office, ranting about the ways you are going to have me fired, etc. perhaps you should read the following information and maybe you will come to your senses and ask yourself why you really shop at Wal-Mart:

                           http://wakeupwalmart.com/facts/

I do not blame you for watching your money especially in this economy.  I am not suggesting that you should be treated unfairly by one of our associates...  I believe in treating every customer with respect and thanking them for their business...

Not too long ago I sold a customer a copy of Microsoft Office 2007 - She was elderly and only wanted something she could use to type basic letters on her computer... Office 2007 is quite expensive compared to Works and both are much more than advising her to have a friend help her download a free word processing program - Open Office.    Educated associates - that is how Wal-Mart will really make money in this economy and yes I have a college education  - and the elderly lady is $130 in the hole SALE PRICE!!!   NEXT PLEASE

What? You must have a guilty conscience and are overly defensive

AUTHOR: Henry - Otisco (USA)

Employee, who threatened to notify corporate?  Who threatened to have someone fired?  That employee was not striving to reach a resolution in my favor.  He was striving to cover his ass, call me a liar and try to protect his bonus.  There was no excuse for his behaviour.

What does the sale of Microsoft Office have to do with employees stocking items in the wrong spot, then trying to circumvent the law by not honouring the price?  Good for you, you knight in shining armour, for offering the woman low-cost alternatives.  But that was her decision, and she made it.  Perhaps she has enough money to throw around and didn't mind the purchase.  But this employee made an error, and tried to squirm away from taking responsibility, acting like a genuine creep in the process, and getting caught at it.

This report is meant to educate, to inform the reader that they do not have to take such abuse and do deserve better, to not let such a sleazebag take advantage of them if they find themselves in such a situation.  I am report such events to educate, just as you attempted to educate the Microsoft Office buyer.
