If they are a Rip-Off why are they sold in 50 stores in NY and LA? Including Borders Books, Kinkos and Samuel French? They have endorsements from (3) of my best friends (Mary Kate Olsen, Betty DeGeneres and Michael Corbett) all legitimate, all true. PLUS - They have been in business 13 years and have an AA+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.

They have the most up to date mailing lists and mailing labels in the business. I have gotten dozens of auditions using their lists and labels.

This sleazy company is located in Hollywood run by a wanna be UNWORKING GAY ACTOR name Steve, it's his company, he is the only owner, there are no "investors".

You can go on the internet for FREE and get a list of talent agencies. Go to the California Labor Board which regulates talent agencies in California. They will provide a list of licensed agents for FREE FREE FREE. Also, you can go to the Association of Talent Agents in Los Angeles or the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and get the same list! They all have websites which contain the agency names! Just because an agency is licensed, doesn't mean they're legit. There are many agency "scams" out there and many of them are on his stupid "lists".

Also, Steve will also try to sell you there "consulting" services for several hunderd dollars. Yep, another scam. Regarding the so called celebrity endorsements, call those people's agents, Steve does NOT have WRITTEN PERMISSION to use their names! I verified this!! They think he's a con artist!!

Don't watse your money on this shady operator "Steve" which does not even have a legit office. He operates out of a mail drop on Santa Monica Boulevard. If he was doing that well, don't you think he would have an office? Come on...please people...don't be stupid and please DON'T WASTE your time and money.

Ripoff?? I used Showbiz LTD's labels about a year ago to do a submissions mailing, and a month later I had a new commercial agent. I have since done two national commercials for Chevy Silverado and Anheuser Busch. I thought you usually lost money from a ripoff, but I have gained money. Alot more than the labels themself cost me!

We first came to ShowBiz, Ltd/CommercialKids/Steve in early 2006.

That nothing much has happened, as a result, is of my own doing. Prolonged Cascading, near Catastrophic, Family events over the last 4 years prevented me from getting any further than watching half of the DVD which strongly informs the consumer of the approach needed to succeed. That in itself, was something anyone would expect. You do not get something for nothing.Your Child/Grandchild has to be schooled. There have to photos. Now, you can try to coach them yourself & hope that Anhauser Busch will risk the $Ms they're going to spend on a home grown newcomer, or you can take the information as valid & enroll your Child/Grandchild in a legitimate Acting/Modeling Course near your home.

What the free lists from SAG, et al, do not offer is the availability of simple guidance, if needed. Steve & his staff do.

We live in Chicago, where until recently, we were considered the Movie Wasteland of Life. We are hopping now & Steve's Service is sold here in Bloomingdales & other reputable, upscale venues.

That his business is mostly cyber...so what? My own Son runs a successful Property Tax Appeal Service in the very same Manner, here, & has had the same UPS Store Address for the last 12 years. SBL/CKs still carry a AA+ BBB rating after all of these years & after all of these personally horrific years, without a peep from me, one day after I left a voice message, seeking guidance re: Commercial Kids Contest, they called me back & helped me out. They called ...me, a dormant client...after 4 years!

My delay is much the result of the amount of commitment/WORK it is going to take to get somewhere. Thankfully, by Father God's Grace alone, we have survived as a Family, mostly intact, & I am now able to devote the COMMITMENT & WORK my Granchild's Career demands.

Keep in mind, too, (as I will, as well) Just maybe the love of your life/reason you're living/amazing/gorgeous/talented/child IS that, ONLY TO YOU & that, while they're a really good & bright child, they are just not amazing/gorgeous/talented enough to be hired at the time, or anytime in the future. Keep in mind that, just maybe, they will make a better Farrier than Jockey, a better Brain Surgeon than Model, a better Anthropoligy Researcher than an Actor. ShowBiz, Ltd/CommercialKids cannot & do not control that!

Lastly, as for some of the Contacts sent to you no longer existing ...This is News??? In an era of a Stolen Presidency, a Fictitious War, and the Worst Economical turndown, started by the first Reagan/Bush regime & finished off by the second Bush Regime...in an era where almost half of this Country's hard working Families found themselves losing their very homes..how on earth could you or anyone expect an ENTERTAINMENT Agency to survive? Who could afford it? Practically no-one. Food & Gas replaced Entertainment very, very quickly.(Another solid reason to work in cyber space)
