here's the proof- go to google.com and type in "model search america complaints" and it will link you to this story about MSA suing texas.
they didn't want to be listed as an agency b/c they couldn't charge outrageous fees- so they fought it. THIS PROVES THEY MAKE ALL THEIR MONEY FROM CONVENTION FEES AND NOT FROM COMMISSIONS.
they could care less if you ever get a booking.
MSA SUES TEXAS
It turns out that Model Search America was involved in a lawsuit in Texas. They actually took the Texas Talent Agency Commission to court because Model Search America was being classified as a talent agency in the state of Texas.
At first I thought "who cares if they are classified as a talent agency". Then I looked up the Texas Talent Agency Act...... AHHHH-HAH!!! What I found there put the puzzle together.
As it turns out, under the Talent Agency Act, a talent agency (which is what Model Search America was classified as in Texas) can not charge a registration fee to potential "talent". That just goes to show you that they could not pass up such a huge "Money" market. They actually sued the state of Texas so that they could have theirr precious registration fees!!! Aren't they making enough money off of working models, or is that just an illusion to keep attendance up?
