I am the owner of Muse Models. I can't believe I am addressing such insane accusations, but here it goes...
1. The 1-800-hot-gays/guys/gals is ridiculous, almost humorous. We are a fashion agency with extremely conservative morals. I have three little boys. My wife and I are church-going, God believing people. Our models model fashion and athletic apparel. Talk to any of the 300+ models we represent and you will not find a single story to substantiate that.
2. We do not ever sell $500 photo shoots. We do not have a photographer any where in the agency. There are however independent photographers in the NW that shoot models for every agency and $500 is a pretty average price.
3. We speak highly of our competition. It is our policy.
4. We have never been a franchise. We parted ways with our Canadian office after 14 years and changed our name to be independent. We changed our location after 13 years of being downtown. We moved about a mile away and announced to the world our move.
5. The word "muse" simply means an artist's inspiration. There are about 5 agencies in the world with the same name. We did not take it from a magazine, but who cares if we did??
6. To my knowledge, I have never booked a "Cassy" on a modeling assigment. We would not be in business for 14 years if we did not pay our models.
7. "webcam nasties / nasty phone site" - this is just comical slander. What is a phone site anyway?
8. The photos on our website are all models that we represent and reflect many jobs that we and they have booked.
9. Yes, we do make a living on "modeling gig fees". We take a 20% agency fee when our models work, just like every other fashion agency in the world.
Call Nike, adidas, Fred Meyer, nordstrom, etc and ask them who they work with.
Call the top agencies in the world and ask them about Muse Portland.
Google some of our discoveries; Katie Nauta, Brandi Brechbiel, Terron Wood, Kerry Degman, Chad White.
I think you will find that we check out just fine. Thanks for reading!
