Now I know just like so many others, I was ripped off too. Melette and Bruce are very manipulative. Maybe the best of the best, if you ask me.
I took my daughter for a so called "audition" and I paid the price literally. I paid $685 for a lousy "catalog", and some pictures that I could have done at Wal-Mart for way cheaper.
I heard about the auditions on the radio a year ago. Till this day I still hear the same exact ad. The "catalog" that they put them in is crap, so is the website for the clothes. I think that they are still using the same clothes just different kids. The catalog my daughter was in was #5. Can you just imagine what number their on now? I even called Wilhelmina New York to see if they received my daughter's picture like they were supposed to as part of the package, and they had never even heard of my daughter. What kind of crap is that?
Everytime I called Melette with my concerns of no work and their marketing tactics, she always came up with some kind excuse. It takes time and I don't know what happened, were her favorite phrases. Since it was more than six months with no work and the fact that I kept complaining, she schedule her for an update photo shoot. Now I was dealing with Bruce.
After her update shoot her picture wasn't put on the web right away. I called three times to see what was up. It was then that I learned from Bruce that they have multiple web sites. He said he makes a new one every year. Now why do you think he needs to do that? He also claims that the agencies he markets with have access to all the web sites. When I questioned why my daughter's photo was not sent to Wilhelmina, his response was that he only sends them photos once or twice a year. That is not what they tell you when you give up your money. I was told they market the kids to everyone once a month. So I'm pretty sure that their whole speach in the office is all a lie.
I've written a letter to the Better Business Bureau asking for my money back. Bruce has responded to my complaint by saying I won't get a refund because I just used his so called services in May, the update shoot. The only services he has provided for me and my daughter are taking some crapy pictures. The pictures and the catalog are no where near being worth $685.
!!!!!!!!!!!PLEASE HELP ME FIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!
I've also written a letter to the Attorney General to fight against Bruce. I really urge everyone to do the same thing. If the Attorney General gets enough complaints they can file a suit on behalf of everyone and shut him done for good. We need to stop him from taking advantage of people and their children. It's time we put this scammer and his accomplises out of business. Hopefully some justice will be done. Please help me in this fight.

AnaMarie If a company wants or is searching for people they can take advantage of, they need a way to get their message out to the general public.
Trust me if you printed off all and I mean all the Rip Off Reports on the company that you are talking about abd faxed them to the radio station that aired the commerical that led you to the Rip Off company, trust me the radio station would look the other way because of the BIG MONEY they get from the company that RIPPED YOU OFF!
The radio station helped them RIP you OFF by helping the business find PREY!
If you are tuned into a radio station and you hear a commerical about a business that gets your attention and you soon get Ripped OFF by the business that advertises on the radio station that you like. You need to EXPOSE the radio station for GETTING BIG MONEY helping the scammer get your money.
Mention the radio station by name, phone number and the DJ that aired the Rip Off commercial of the business that RIPPED YOU OFF!
You must remember if not for the radio station, the business would have NEVER GOT a chance to Rip you OFF.
We need to know the radio station that aired the commerical! EXPOSE all who helped get you RIPPED OFF

Hi everyone, I liked to thank those of you who read my story and responded. Unfortunately I am not getting anywhere. The so called "Better Business Bureau" says that they can not take any further action other than giving him the report. The Attorney General's office gave me the same response. He denied the claim to them so they say they are to busy to take any action at this time. It is just rediculous. How can these companies get so many complaints on one person and then sit back and do nothing. I have a few more ideas on how to get something done, but if anyone has any suggestions please let me know. This guy really needs to be taught a lesson and we must find a way to stop him. Thanks,

I am a victim in this scam too and I understand your rage. I want to help you anyway I can to get this message out to every person possible! I'm prepared to picket in front of the building and even make flyers, of course with only the TRUTH about my experience with Bruce and his agency.
More people need to hear about Star Bizz and its conniving scam.

Pam, Anamarie and Aimee you all need to think about this. To stop them, you need to prevent them from finding new customers. You ask "How do you do that"
The best way to stop him DEAD IN THE WATER, is to EXPOSE the radio stations Newspapers where Starbiz does "ALL of their advertising."
Let's say you hear a Radio station airing these clowns advertisements. GO post a good Rip Off Report about the radio station that takes these clowns advertisement money.
Then contact the radio station's sales department and "MAKE SURE" they know that you listed them in your Rip Off Report"
Will not take long for the radio station's sales manager to have a chat with the business that is ripping people off because they are PISSED that they, the radio station is being listed on MANY Rip Off Reports.
Maybe the radio station's sales department will get SMART and refuse to do business with the them.
No advertisments, NO NEW CUSTOMERS for Starbiz!
If not for the radio stations this guy could not have Ripped you off! Many local radio stations couldn't care less about how the business Rips you off. They do not care if the consumer gets BENT OVER, just as long as they get that money from the business that Rips you OFF,,
I say ATTRACT all who runs their advertisements. List them in your Rip Off Report! they helped get you Ripped OFF!
Think about it, WHO got you to go to the SCAMMER? Which radio stations are airing this guys commercials? EXPOSE all Radio stations that do business with them.
