I have to agree, from personal experience about the 'SCAM' that is Dean Kelly.

I feel terribly sorry for the girls and women (and many others) whom he has duped. But if I'm being completely honest, I feel most sorry for him. He's one of those guys who had life handed to him on a silver platter....and he has no one to blame but himself for ruining his entire life. He's an embarrassment to himself, to his family and to his industry. This is especially poignant because I've never seen anyone as 'fame hungry' as he was...and he has become such a laughing stock...such a cautionary tale of everything you should NOT do. He burned so many bridges and made such a fool out of himself. Yes, people do still remember him...but its not for good reasons. 

I met him in Los Angeles more than a decade ago. I knew him for more than 3 years. When you first met him, he seemed like a dream....incredibly handsome, drove a porsche, lived in a mansion in Bel Air, didn't drink or do drugs, seemed to be successful at his work, and seemed to be the toast of the town....but very quickly you realized that it was all a sham. He was dead broke and he stole constantly. I assumed he had money and it took a while for me to realize that he was stealing from everyone in various ways. The mansion he lived in was a friends, he crashed there in exchange for work he never did - until the friend kicked him out. In the 3+ years that I knew him, he lived is 8 different houses (that I knew of...maybe it was more)...because he never paid rent and he was always kicked out once people realized he was broke. He was great at talking his way into peoples lives, but the relationships always soured within weeks once they realized he was using them. His car was repossessed and he was always borrowing other people cars and saying they were his. He was desperate to be an actor and talked constantly about how much he was working, but he NEVER booked a job. He wasn't good enough to be an actor, and he had burned so many bridges in modeling that no one would hire him again. He would talk his way into Hollywood parties and event, and take pictures with famous people...he claimed they were his friends, but sadly he had already become one of those people you feel sorry for because his lies were mounting and it was embarrassing him. He did not have celebrity friends...instead he was that sad guy who sneaks in to take pictures with them and pretend he knows them...just a poser. When I met him he claimed to be 23 but he was really 29. He claimed to have a huge agent...but really had none (maybe he did at one time, but he burned that bridge). He refused to get a 'real' job and instead spent everyday hanging out on Sunset Plaza on the sunset strip trying to look cool and important. And to keep up the sham he was constantly stealing from stores - clothes, electronics, beauty products...you name it, he stole it.....and he always claimed that he had a right to do it because all stores had a built in amount of loss that they assumed would happen "so its fine". He was a 30 year old man shoplifting constantly. He would even go to nice restaurants and then disappear leaving the bill. Who does that? Where was his self respect? How was he not ashamed of this? He had no problem getting women, but he treated them horribly...mostly because he was broke and insecure. He actually had a girlfriend when I met him, a lovely blond model who traveled a lot for work- and who had no idea that he was sleeping with oodles of women when she wasn't around. It was really cruel. 

I have seemingly endless stories of how insane he was. I was 19 when I met him and was very naive that anyone could live that way...it was eye opening to see what my first impressions were, and what the truth was. He's a very sad man. I hadn't thought of him in years, and then an old friend asked what had ever happened to him and I had no idea and googled him. I wasn't the least bit surprised to see how shady his life is and how desperate he continues to be. How he hasn't matured beyond the same scams and his pathetic way of living and preying on other people. 

I have no personal animosity towards him.  He didn't do any personal damage to me, but I saw enough of him, and knew enough people wounded, cheated and scammed by him, to understand how damaging he could be. I hope those who read this take the information to heart and stay far away from him. He's one of those lost souls, who is desperate for things that he can never have...but he will use everyone around him, in whatever ways he needs/wants to - to make himself feel better....that may be sexually, financially, for connections etc.
