Make sure to read the other RipOffReports on ActiveMaleModels! I have made a blog about my experiences with Active Male Models / Models Today and Russell Claxon. Here is the text of that blog if it should be removed for any reason:
Before I begin, you should know that Russell Claxon / Active Male Models uses the following aliases on the Internet:
AOL Instant Messenger: guy4you2know1
AOL Instant Messenger: sexy502beth (female decoy profile)
AOL Instant Messenger: KYMODELGUY
Skype: KYMODELGUY
Gay.com: KYMODELGUY
Gay.com: KYMODELGUY2
Myspace: Russ David (The Model Seeker), Profile ID 541239376 (A simple Google search of this information reveals that he is friends with many young men.)
If you have been contacted by ANY of the above parties, keep a record!
Also before I tell you my story, let me share with you some information on the company and its owner. Just Google his name, or his companies' names, and you'll come up with all of this stuff on your own. Think of this here as a clearinghouse with commentary. :) A judge in Kentucky summed it up best: "You've done nothing to show me you're running a legitimate business. I think you're running a scam." But it might be much more sinister than that, I'm afraid.
OWNER:
RUSSELL CLAXON (verified with the Kentucky Secretary of State)

MY STORY:
I'm a pretty smart guy. I even went to grad school -- a highly-respected one -- and got a Ph.D. Fortunately I'm older and wiser now, and have hopefully added experience to my knowledge which allows me to see through situations like the one I was in. But there was a time when I was down on my luck. I was vulnerable, I suppose, and I needed money. I wasn't thinking clearly. I was approached by someone on AOL Instant Messenger who called herself "sexy502beth." She said I had "the look" for modeling and wanted to put me in touch with her "agent," Russell Claxon. I corresponded with Russell for a bit, and he told me I should come to Louisville for him to take pictures of me and to sign me up for modeling. The fee? At the time, I believe it was $450. I didn't know at the time that it's unheard of to pay a fee for modeling and that legitimate modeling agencies rely on commissions from your work to make their money. Oops.
Anyway, after talking to Russell, "Beth" signed back in and told me she would find it really exciting if I engaged in sexual acts with another male in front of my webcam, and also asked me for nude pictures of myself. Fortunately, I said NO to both.
Fast forward a few days later: I drove to Louisville and met with Russell at a McDonald's (yes, I should have known right then that I was being defrauded). Russell brought a young man with him and said that the young man had just come from working in New York and had made over $1,000 / hour. Then he pushed a contract in front of me, had me read it and sign it, and hand over a check for $450. Then we went to a Louisville park and he took photos of me. Those photos never made it to his website, and he never once found any sort of work for me. Furious, I demanded my
money back and threatened to report the incident to the Better Business Bureau. Russell said he had a paralegal agency who would sort me out if I caused trouble. I didn't relent, though. Ultimately, I just cut my losses and let it go.
My story seems to have ended a lot better than most, though. Fortunately for me, unfortunately for others. Check out these news stories from WHAS 11 in Louisville, where a reporter finally nailed Russell Claxon after a number of young men came forward with stories much more horrendous than my own:
http://www.whas11.com/news/modeling-investigation-67302242.html
http://www.whas11.com/news/iteam/WHAS11-Investigation-Modeling-agency--72010757.html
(You'll notice that the comments in defense of Claxon/AMM/MT, LLC are curiously similar. Could it be that the same person is writing them, including "sexy502beth"? I would think so.)
When I saw these stories, I was horrified. That could have been me. When I thought I had just been scammed for money, I was angry, but when I realized what Claxon could have originally planned for me, I felt absolutely violated. Now that I'm older, I can't imagine how these young men must feel, and it infuriates me that little to nothing has been done about it. When I learned that Russell had been doing this since God-knows-when, I was speechless.
Let me link you to a few blogs where Claxon allegedly contacted other young men online:

and comments:
http://superpunkgohan.livejournal.com/7723.html#comments
Claxon / AMM / MT, LLC absolutely despise the Better Business Bureau, and it's easy to see why:

http://centralohio.bbb.org/article/dont-get-taken-by-a-modeling-scam-22026

http://our.bbb.org/KY/Public/Reports/RR/Print.aspx?firm=6005497
http://www.examiner.com/news-you-can-use-in-national/scam-warning-child-modeling-agencies
... and so on. Apparently, Claxon and his "companies" made national news!
Don't feel threatened by Claxon or his "companies" when they threaten you with legal action. Stand your ground or ignore him altogether. And if anything has happened to you or your children because of him or his companies, you should keep a record of it and go to the police.
Stay safe!

I am sorry this poster is telling you a big lie. Active Male Models will never meet you at McDonalds. This person is telling you a lie because there is no $450.00 charge. He is talking about M0dels Today and what happened with him there. That company has nothing to do with Active Male Models. He is acting out just like a little kid would.
We have added a page on our site of comments to deal with some stuff this guy post.
https://www.activemalemodels.com/What_Our_Guys_Say_.php
Even one of our former models made his own blog about this guy and his dealings with us.
http://www.ammexperience.blogspot.com/
Please don't be scammed by this poster. He has yet to produce anything that he has had any dealings with either company. All he post is stuff that is on the internet and uses source that are not creditable.
Please do yourself a justice and ignore crazy people like this.

This guy JOE-Louisville is a nut case. His accounts can not be true. If he is really from Louisville then why would he travel to Louisville and he stated. (Fast forward a few days later: I drove to Louisville and met with Russell at a McDonald's ) One would realize that this can not be true. AMM does not meet models to do pics. You have to submit your own pics.
If he paid $450 then why would he said the following. (The fee? At the time, I believe it was $450.) If he paid this with a check then he would not put believe. He would put I paid and would not have any questions of what he paid. But furthermore when I paid it was not $450 and the people I know who have paid since there paid less then $200.
He post stuff that the BBB has said but the BBB is a big scam as noted on ABC 20/20 News.

This guy is a known psycho and is gathering info from you guys to send out virus emails. Please watch yourself. He is in no way a good guy.
If he wants to prove his case better then he needs to show where he was part of either company. Step but and show who you are and not hide behind the screen. I know he will not but just read what he says and you will know his is a BIG LAIR.
Come to my blog and see the real side of Active Male Models.

Since writing that rip off report, I have created a user-friendly and much more comprehensive website:
Active Male Models Scam (link opens in new window, or copy and past the URL below) The website contains information on Claxon's new business -- a bounty hunting agency called U.S. Fugitive Apprehension Agency.
https://sites.google.com/site/activemalemodelscam/
Please consult it before doing business with Russell Claxon, Russ David "The Model Seeker" on myspace, or his businesses: Active Male Models, LLC; Models Today, LLC; Active Female Models; U.S. Fugitive Apprehension Agency; U.S. Court Process Server Agency; U.S. Security Agency, Ltd.; or MT - Fitness.
And report any suspicious activity to law enforcement, the Louisville Better Business Bureau, State Attorney General; the media; and/or the U.S. Federal Trade Commission.

On his post he made a site to slander and give false info. As Google did by law they have taken down his spam scam site because they know Joe-Louisville is a pathetic demeanored person. I am grateful that Google sees that Joe-Louisville is a LOSER and should be locked up for life for his BS posting and bogus claims.

My blog has been unlocked again -- in its entirety, with all of the images, files, links, and documents. I've also added some things to it. I went through the appeal process and had my blog re-approved by Google. The truth hurts, but it's neither an insult nor "slander" / "harassment." My speech is protected.
My website is also in the process of being reinstated. Bookmark it and check it frequently. It should be unlocked in a day or two. I will be purchasing my own domain shortly so that my content
can't be taken down again.
I won't be silenced or censored on this matter, and I refuse to stand idly by and watch this modeling scam hurt others. I want to protect everyone who has contributed to this Rip-Off Report and help them to find any help they need.
The owner of Active Male Models continues to try to intimidate me. It will not work. I will not be silenced.

Feel free to comment on it. Even Russell Claxon can add his two cents, if he wants.
Also, Russell Claxon the owner of Active Male Models, LLC, and Models Today, LLC, now owns a bounty hunting firm with a person named Clayne C. Moss. I do hope that person knows about his business partner's reputation. The new companies owned by Russell Claxon and Clayne C. Moss are:
U.S. Security Agency, Ltd.
U.S. Fugitive Apprehension Agency (bounty hunting is illegal in the state registered)
U.S. Court Process Server Agency
http://ussecurityagency.net (copy and paste)
And here is a list of all of Claxon's businesses, from the Kentucky Secretary of State, listing him and Mr. Moss as owners for the three most recent operations:
https://app.sos.ky.gov/ftshow/%28S%28db4zp255zk2lx1y4aw5qb545%29%29/ioffsearch.aspx?search=RUSSELL+CLAXON (copy and paste)
Isn't it ironic that a person like the owner of Active Male Models, LLC and Models Today, LLC would start up his own bounty hunting business?
