I hear your story Johnny Depp is making way too much money. After the filming is done what does he do afterwards. Flys home while to act on another high paying film contract on something else while the rest of the film editors, directors and producers are stuck geting the movie together months and months later. Sure it is unfair that this business pays these actors these absurd salaries and the rest get nothing.
It is not a fair business as the actors don't write the films or invest their own money in them, they just appear to act in them and want no part of the movie later. Actors should not get the credit, the writers and investors should be getting the money after all its their idea, why should actors get a percentage of the profit if they did nothing but played only an acting role? Johnny Depps leaves after the set is done on a private jet which the production company pays for. I personally think it is sick that how bad the economy is and you have an actor like this living high on the hog in life with people throwing money at him. He is not a doctor saving lives or something, he is just an actor, thats it and nothing more. What can he do? Just act. The guy is getting too much bottom line and he probably doesn't realize it either because he has been making too money for too long.

Johnny Depp earned £50m (thats $85 million dollars for one movie) for portraying the Mad Hatter in Tim Burton’s 3-D version.
The Disney film has grossed $1 billion at the worldwide box office, making Depp the only actor to headline two $1 billion films, the other being Pirates of the Caribbean. The actor have requested absurd contracts to pay him more and more money.
Depp also landed a big upfront payday estimated at more than £15m (thats $28 million dollars) for The Tourist.
Last year Depp was 10th place on the Forbes annual list of top earning actors.
At what point does this guy learn the country is broke and people out of work?

When people REFUSE to go to see his movies-simply do something else rather than pay "too much" for a movie ticket. The choice is yours.
Shees!

What do want him to do, quit working and live off welfare? Would that give him back his self respect and dignity?
Actors are not the only one making money, what about athletes? The reason Johnny is rich and you are not is no one will pay to see or listen to you.
get a life moron.

Why are you singling out Johny Dep? All the top actors get paid massive amounts of money. Let's include sports stars and large company CEO in that mix.
Face it, we always think everything should be fair, but, guess what, much of life is not fair.
Accept it and get over it or you'll live a miserable life. I expect that you make unfair amounts compared to some poor person living in the slums of Bangladesh or wherever. Is that fair?

Actors like in the media, the media will not talk about the actors getting 8 figure salaries. Sure the media will talk about CEO's but actors make much more than CEO's, so why doesn't the media talk about it.
Johnny Depp demands $20 million or more, that's his demand. If you took his fee out of the picture, then the movie price would be far cheap and movie business wouldn't have to have fare increases all the time.
Do you have health insurance, do you enjoy paying about 25% more each year it goes up and why they keep raising it? Johnny Depp is not a doctor or a health saving physician, has nothing to do with making America a better place, he makes it better for himself. Ok, bottom line.
I think there needs to be a media tweet on these co called excessive actor salaries.
When you see the people in the Wisconsin union protest, those people are protesting their salaries for salaries in the 5 figures, not 8 figures. I am not a Union supportor but like at Johnny Depp he is in the Screen Actors Guild union.
Compare Wisconsin Union vs the Screen Actors Guild union? At what point does it make sense to pay some people $20 to $40 million a year vs. $50,000. a year?
At what point does it sink that the country is broke for what? Ever thought of it? How many Wal-Mart employees making $8.00 an hr does it pay to pay acotrs like Johnny Depp his salary? Add them up and tell yourself is that fair?
Imagine 20,000 employees uses their wages to pay for Johnny Depps salary in one movie? Johnny Depp works are average of 140 to 200 hours a movie. Divide that into $20 to $44 million how his hour rate is?
This Hollywood industry is paying these actors these absurd salaries for their greed, plain and simple.

Johnny Depp gets $4 million just to sign a 1 film contract, that is non-negotiable all paid up front. That is a paid out first. Ok, there is no refund in that. He gets that money, the director gets no non-negotiable contract. Johnny Depp does not write these movie's, his just the face in the film. Have you asked the same question on the writers? What credit do they get when they wrote the movie? Who movie is it anyway? A movie is like a patent, someone wrote it, it should be credited to those people first besides the investors seeking to invest to put the money down to promote and make the film possible.
Second if the movie does well, the actor fails as well. Again wrong answer. Johnny Depp is guaranteed the contract for the movie, even if the movie grosses 10% over its cost of production or even 1% from its production. You obviously don't know how these actor agents work do you. They are in the business to get their 10% from the actors contract, they have more lawyers on the actors contracts than the production companies.
Remember the movie with Jennifer Lopez & Ben Affleck in Gigli? The movie did horrible, it made nothing but hey both Jennifer Lopez & Ben Affleck got $20 million each. The director lost his shirt because it was his film, he had to pay these 2 greedy actors their money. That was made in 2003, you think for a second Jennifer Lopez & Ben Affleck would be understanding and return the money they cost the production of that movie? Not a chance, they took their money and ran with it and the agents also got their 10% commission. Johnny Depp is the same actor, he's about the money and he wants the money.
Third, just because they agree on a $44 million dollar for a one film contract, does not mean the people agree with it. Ask the movie theaters if they agree to pay the high rent fees when they rent the reels, they are sucked in to pay so much per week until the movie dies down. The actor does not give a hoot if they suffer, they only want that flat check and the royality money they will receive for their lifetime each movie they star in.
The movie business is ripping the public off by their so called greedy actors. They demand so much for each film and especially when they get an Acedemy Award or even only nominated, they want more. The business is sick considering how bad America is in and the greed proftting off it

I fully agree that Johnny Depp is overpaid and is making too much money. Doesn't work hard for his money. I would like to see Johnny Depp spend 2 years in Iraq making $35,000.00 a year like most of our US soldiers are making defending our country where Johnny Depp is banking on his corruption on greedy where other people are just making a living.
Shame on you Johnny Depp
