I went to a proscout event that happened in Fort Wayne, And I was accepted along with a couple others for the weekend event in Chicago. The thing is I have a poor financial situation and asked for help, they never gave any. Then they called me a couple of days later to have me make a deposit of the money for the event. I told them I had to thank about it. I found out by friends at school that proscout was a scam. To make sure if it was true I sent an email to one of the agents of proscout about a financial situation. It's been over 2 months now and still no reply. I believed they left me alone knowing I didn't have the money.

Not so much a scam in the technical sense but it's not a good deal for the consumer. Stay away.

I went to a proscout event last year in Boston and let me tell you it was incredible and worth the 795.00 i spent and would have spent to fly to LA, stay at a hotel and hope and pray that i could get a meeting with an agent which is near impossible as I have many actor/model friends in LA who cant even get a meeting with an agent! So i went to this event, and was able to work out a payment plan with the very nice Smith. Whoever says it's a scam doesn't have a clue the reality of how hard this business is.
