BEWARE of THECUTEKID.com  RIP-OFF  My lawyers and I have heard back from Gerber, Sears, Jet Blue, Wilhelmina Agency and a few others.  They have NOT HIRED these kids, They ARE NOT INVOLVED in TheCuteKid SCAM.  There is a reason that the CUTEKID website says "Do not contact the agents we list on the website"  Because THEY DON'T EXIST.  It is painful fraud.  Parents BE VERY CAREFUL - DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS PHOTO AND CREDIT CARD TO THIS SITE.

The CuteKid is 100% Legitimate - The top child photo contest and parent resource

AUTHOR: MELISSA - lynbrook (United States of America)

As an employee of TheCuteKid.com, I take your post very seriously. TheCuteKid.com is 100% legitimate and we work with some of the biggest and most well respected names in the modeling and talent industries. We have partnerships and relationships with companies including  Huggies™, Gerber Life™, Scholastic™ and Disney™.

We are the only child and baby photo contest that allows parents the opportunity to enter their babies and children into the industry safely, effectively and affordably with 100% industry pros.

The companies you list in your report are all companies we have personally worked with or have had CuteKid members find jobs with.

Members who choose to enter photos into our contest are personally reviewed by entertainment industry professionals who often find roles for members. Thousands in prizes are awarded monthly and The CuteKid of the Year wins a $25,000 college tuition fund grand prize.

In no way are we a scam as your report suggests and we welcome all parents to experience what The CuteKid has to offer their children.

Thank you,

Melissa K. and The CuteKid Staff

Contact Info??

AUTHOR: Jennifer - Prince Frederick (United States of America)

Why is there no phone number for Cute Kid if it is so legitimate?  Also, when the physical address is "googled" there is no such address as the one given.  Where is the company located?  To the employee that rebutted, why can't you provide the consumer with a phone number, business license #, etc!!!????????????

There seems to be some serious misleading on this company's behalf.

AUTHOR: A Parent - jdchbhvjdjkdfhbvj (United States of America)

The other consumer's comment brings up a lot of valid arguments and the company seems to have no intentions of responding to them. I would like to also point out something. How can you say this?

"We are the only child and baby photo contest that allows parents the opportunity to enter their babies and children into the industry safely, effectively and affordably with 100% industry pros."

Seriously, that sets of my B.S. detector. There's no way you can be "the only one" out of what must be a hundred thousand companies no different than yours. Coupled with the FACT that I can just simply contact these companies and ask them what agency handles the modeling for them... and I'm willing to bet that they have more than one, which means you can't be "the only one".

But what I see as a serious mislead is the fact that nowhere on your site can I easily find anything mentions parents having to provide you credit card info. I had already suspected you did and tried to find where and couldn't. It wasn't untill I read this report did I get confirmation that you are asking.

The Cutekid.com is a scam

AUTHOR: consumer - (United States of America)

The cutekid.com is a scam. I submitted a picture in March and was charged 29.95 every month from March 2011 until Jan 2012 for a "VIP membership" which I never used nor was aware that by submitting a photo(s) in the month’s contest, I would be automatically entered into this membership.

Because I submitted two pictures, I was charged every month for two memberships. I called the company in Sept to rectify this and spoke with Donna. I believe Donna (if that's her real name) is one of the few people apart of this scam. Donna only agreed to refund the current month's charge and when I asked to speak to her mgr I was told she didn’t have one. She mentioned a few times she would need to email my complaint to the appropriate dept and when I asked her to copy me on the email I was told this was against company policy. She also rejected my request to simply transfer my call to “the appropriate department.

Anyway it turns out Donna never reversed the charges and I continued to be charged the membership fee up until Jan 2012 (on a card I seldom use, so I don't check very often). I spoke w/ Donna again and she said the company could only refund my current month's charge even though she can see where the company had charged for two separate memberships and in some month’s three.

Every time I call back, I always get Donna. I couldn't prove that I had talking to her twice before because she never agrees to send me confirmation of our call including what we discussed.

For this company to be as big and renowned as it claims, I find it surprising that Donna alone can handle the many questions, inquires, and concerns that you would expect from the companies wide customer, vendor, and partnership base.

I am disputing the charges with my credit card company but this definitely made it clear to me that this is a scam. There is not a real company with any real affiliations. These are a few people scamming innocent cute kids and their families.
