Well for those familiar with my previous complaint a few months ago I have an unhappy update. I have been working with the AMC President's office trying to come up with a "Reasonable" solution to the mess they have caused to my mortgage. I made 1 last attempt at getting them to right all that "They" have wronged but today in the mail I received a letter from the President's office saying that it's NOT their fault that the Appraiser "They" had do the appraisal 2.5 years ago was off by $48,700 plus an additional $20,000 that we have put into our house since then.

They told me that they could not rewrite our mortgage with our "FAIR" terms and if I should go after anyone it should be the appraiser! Well, the stupid appraiser worked strictly for them, not me!!! I wish I knew who the appraiser was because I would hound her also. Does anyone remember a female appraiser from Eaton Rapids, MI around 8/2004?

Anyways, I am now more peeved than ever and no longer playing fairly... Could anyone give me the name/s of a lawyer that is familiar with AMC and who has gotten results around the Lansing, MI area? Anyones help would be greatly appreciated...

Hi Ken, Nice to see you again...

I was wondering if you or anyone else that you have come across has filed a complaint with the California Better Business Bureau against AMC? I was advised tonight to do so, so I found it on the web and filed my complaint and also filled out the section that wants to know exactly what you want from AMC, what you expect them to do to make things right... I noticed on the BBB site under AMC complaints that there was a low number of complaints filed compared to how many people are on here fighting against AMC...

I will go search again for where you've said to go look for you...

Appraiser Names and reports

You can request in writing for a copy of the appraisal and or the appraisers name from the mortgage company. Its better if you have an attorney do this for you. The appraiser cannot directly give you a copy of the report unless there is legal action and then you must subpeona or do a request for production. IF you decide to go after the appraiser get not only the report but the workfile also. This will help you in having the appraisal reviewed by a competent appraiser.

Ameriquest IS responsible for the appraisal, they are notorious for influencing appraisers to commit appraisal fraud and they seek skippys to hit the numbers to make the deal.
