American Servicing Company Would not take payments and forcing to foreclose on my home with no help! Des Moines Iowa

In 2006 we refinanced our home to be able to get out of debt and because we needed money for our business. We did not have very good credit during the time. We refinanced with Option One and then later our loan was transferred to American Servicing Company. Our rate was just fixed for 3 years and it was going to balloon. Our payment jumped from 1,800 a month to 2,500 a month. Business has been slow due to the economy and we could not afford this monthly payment. We got 3 months behind and tried to send them a payment. They refused to take any payments from us and was telling us that they would foreclose on our home. We asked them for help they told us they couldn't do anything for us. We contacted homesaverprogram(dot)org for assistance. We kept getting foreclosure notices and finally 2 months later, American Servicing Company lowered our payment to 1,600 a month and fixed our rate.
