It has been such a long, hard process.. but after all this time I still search to see if the government or any high powered atty would want to take a look at the total scams that Aurora put forth. I was caught in what I found out was the beginning of Lehman's fall out when they were out to pull any and all properties at the beginning of their downfall...( Article in "The Village Voice- The Sleazy Side of Lehman Bros. and her name is Aurora" ... they went down and out and the rest of us were left in the mess. One month late and Aurora started to refuse the payments, thus delaying it to where it hit the 90 day point and proceedings started... The way I was treated with my first phone call to them was inhumane. I will NEVER EVER forget how that woman spoke to me. Telling me i HAVE to sell my house, DO I UNDERSTAND AND HAVE TO LIST IT RIGHT NOW, at this point i am 17 days late. I gave her my financials, and she just started yelling that I couldnt afford this and had to sell immediately... I held them off for as long as I could, and finally decided that my health and mental well being was far too valuable than saving the house and giving those bastards their money. Proceedings started and as I have now read, they wanted a modificaton, no problems, "sure we'll work with you".. and cut the mortgage in half. In a 2 second phone call they could solve all my problems.. and couldnt in almost a year of communication...obviously no knowing that these people are nothing but liars, I called a second time to find out more about the modification and was told ohh no... that is not what the program is... you pay 1,000 for three months THEN they will look at modifying the loan. Again they were just scamming and have now found they are doing that so they can at least obtain 3k from folks to cover partial taxes and ins premiums they are paying out. The scams never end with these people and now they are doing it under the name of the goverment stimulus program. Amazing. So for all the work to try to get it a short sale, and no help or response from them.. i let it go. They through the house into auction and the IDIOTS- instead of at least listing it and getting some money- just let it go n a 3 minute auction for 1/3 of the value. I can only think from that the attys. they are using were scamming them as much as Aurora has been scamming us. I always cringe at the thought of class action suits- if you smoked, you chose to smoke- dont blame a cigarette company... but this is for real. We were manipulated and lied to and all this was going on while the financial markets were in such turmoil no one was watching these "little" guys. I was not raised to wish ill on anyone, but hopefully someone who has the means or some ambitious atty will realize that we are voices that need to be heard, and that Aurora loans needs to pay for what they have done to ruin so many peoples lives.
